Join us this week as we welcome country music singer songwriter, Jimmy Parker. Originally from Virginia, After serving in the Military and then moving around the east coast for several years playing music, Jimmy moved to Nashville in 1990. In August, 2012, Steven B. Riley and CMG Nashville signed Jimmy to a record contract and have started promoting him worldwide on the internet and on radio. His first major release with CMG was a song called, "Thought I'd Be Home By Now." (ICoMA 2013 Video of the Year Award Winner). Jimmy Parker is the Real Deal when it comes to singing ‘nothing but pure country music.’ His music is a combination of some of the great covers from the past and some great original songs written by him and other writers that have allowed Jimmy to record his songs. With five cds (four of which are available now) to his credit since 2004 and over 50 songs recorded to this time span, what one will find with Jimmy’s music is honest to goodness down-to-earth country music. We will talk to Jimmy about his upcoming schedule, get a behind the scenes look at his music, feature his latest songs, and ask him to share his message for the troops. Please be sure to visit Jimmy Parker at http://www.jimmyparkermusic.com/ and spread the word. Fans are welcome to call in and speak live with with Jimmy during the show (718) 766-4193. If you would like to participate in the live chat during the show, you must sign up on the show site first and then log in during the show. And as always we will give shout outs to our deployed military listeners. Be sure to join us, Sunday 8/17/2014 at 4 PM EDT! Our message to the troops....WE do what we do, because YOU do what you do.
