Jim Rohn was an EXTRAORDINARY man. He grew up on a farm and met one man that helped him learn how to change his life. In this short talk Mr. Rohn shares how sad it is when people blame everything except for themselves for not making it in life. Some of his most famous stories include:
Over the years I've been teaching children about a simple but powerful concept - the ant philosophy. I think everybody should study ants.
They have an amazing four-part philosophy, and here is the first part: ants never quit. That's a good philosophy. If they're headed somewhere and you try to stop them; they'll look for another way.
They'll climb over, they'll climb under, and they'll climb around. They keep looking for another way. What a neat philosophy, to never quit looking for a way to get where you're supposed to go.
Second, ants think winter all summer. That's an important perspective. You can't be so naive as to think summer will last forever. So ants are gathering in their winter food in the middle of summer.
An ancient story says, "Don't build your house on the sand in the summer." Why do we need that advice? Because it is important to be realistic. In the summer, you've got to think storm. You've got to think rocks as you enjoy the sand and sun. Think ahead....
Wow, what a great seminar to attend - the ant seminar. Never give up, look ahead, stay positive and do all you can.

The basics of the Independent Living Program . The nuts and bolts. What controls it. Why Bill gets a tractor and why Jim gets something to pull his socks up with and a grab bar next to the crapper. This is VR&E 101 for beginners. Most VR&E employees will steadfastly deny it until you point it out. Even then they think it has to have some magic “vocational”-i.e. of or having to do with working, training or preparing to get work- connotation. This is where they lack training. If you only had one copy of the Bible and the guys up at the monastery were in charge of the production of same, you’d have no idea if a chapter was missing. If no one told you, Mr. GS 8 VR&E Intake specialist in Oz , Kansas, that there was a program for the severely disabled that entailed avocational pursuits (read hobbies), you’d be forgiven. When the guys in charge in Wichita tell you there’s no such thing, you have an agency-wide conspiracy to suppress the true scope of a valuable program.
We’re going to learn how they deny. Why they deny. Where all the money goes that ISN’T used for ILP and the scalawag salaries paid for this travesty of justice. As some know, I am appealing my denial for a greenhouse to the BVA. It could just as easily have been a riding lawnmower, a woodworking shop or a photography suite of software and a computer to assemble beautiful graphic video productions on an amateur scale. The actual pastime is immaterial. The pleasure and mental well-being derived from it is the essence of the program, always has been and is now being demolished as “too rich for our blood.”
Its the last week before my scheduled trial and still no ruling on my case, Bikers murders, and Jade Helm and Terrorist threats by the terrorists our own Government created. News from Texas about our new law putting the Grand Jury back in the peoples hands not the elitists friends. Come join in the conversation tonight.

Here we go again, and quite frankly, would we have it any other way?
Blueshirt Underground Radio was founded in June of 2009, and is now in its sixth year of being the only live radio broadcast devoted to the New York Rangers.
Hosted by lifelong Ranger fans Eddie "The Mouth" Gieck and Jim Schmiedeberg, Blueshirt Underground Radio is not some boring podcast that just drones on and on. It's a lively discussion of everything related to the Rangers, where nothing is off-limits. Rants about the players, announcers, and opponents are commonplace, and no one is off limits. It is a show that prides itself in dishing out tough love to the team it adores. Not only is the show funny and entertaining, it is also fully interactive. It's the only radio show you can call into any time of year and talk Ranger hockey.

Jim was born and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota. In 2005, he took a class called Writing From Your Life, which focused on creative nonfiction. The class rekindled his love for writing. In 2009, he enrolled in AllWriters' Workplace and Workshop which provided a peer critique group that encouraged and stretched him as a writer.
Jim loves outdoor sports. It was his love of camping in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area in northern Minnesota that led him to write a memoir about trips he took to the area in the late '80's. The book was published by eLectio Publishing in June of 2014.
Jim's poetry collection, Written Life, was recently accepted for publication by eLectio Publishing and will be released on 3/31/2015. More information about his upcoming book release events can be found on his Events page.
Jim graduated from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities, with a Bachelor of Arts in Geography and Anthropology. He has been employed in mapping and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for over 25 years. He works as a GIS Analyst for Waukesha County in the Parks and Land Use Department.

Often people think that trust & surrender do not include action but it is in our intention and action that the keep the light moving through us. Generating healing energy, for example, requires a lot of inner work of acceptance, trust and surrender.
Trust & surrender are part of the most important fundamentals of spiritual work and sometimes it takes a lot of practice to make it a life style. People were taught -"everything will work out just fine" if they are people of faith but the real, light, positive, healing energy can enter only if we make a move.
Even working as a hollow bone and 'allowing things to come or to bubble up' is not passive at all. We will share more about the connection between hollow bone medicine and trust & surrender and how they can change YOUR lives!
Bring your ideas, thoughts and comments as always. The talking stick is now YOURS! Hit the link below just before show time to join in.
We invite listeners to come and participate in the discussion and the sharing of knowledge. In addition, we thank all our listeners for truly “being” the shows we air. Join us!
