South African Series Presents - Million Votes For Steve

    in Culture

On Saturday 23rd May at 2 pm CT (9 pm SA time) we will be talking to the founder of MillionVotes for Steve, Jaco Zaayman, Pieter Gericke and Amor van Heerden.

Million Votes for Steve was started 7 weeks ago as a Facebook group supporting the quest of local celebrity Steve Hofmeyr for a better South Africa for its white minority, and all other minorities.  During the past 21 years minorities in South Africa have been marginalised, and the role of the white South African in the development of this country has been maligned. Our history, language, career prospects, schools and culture have been under constant attack, and a hatred towards us has been created by the ANC, by adjusting historical facts.  Our action was started to give our people back the voice they have lost, and to let the world know we are dying

    MASONRY IN THE PHENOMENOLOGICAL SENSE

    in Lifestyle

Does any organization bear its soul for the world?  It does if it's Freemasonry. We are a pious bunch. "Piety" doesn't wear well anymore.  We watch politicians jump ship, knowing the idealists have already jumped ahead of them. We barely tolerate  manipulation of power, hubris and greed.  We give men the resources to be free thinkers and present them with opportunity to rise above the clamour to find the bigger man

Forever we've recreated the external world in masonic values. We never stopped doing that; always hopeful using insight and reason to release potential.  We've waited, generation after generation; stiff jawed protectors of 'the way" combating the bunk, junk and lizards.

Before the villagers rally and hunt us down here at Masonic Home Companion we really must talk. Are you noticing the glimmer of light too?

Each discovery, discussion and insight prepares the canvas on which we portray our lives. Today, when we build the cathedral, with pencil, protractor  and ruler nearby, we work not in two dimension but three and even computer assisted. The WWW isn't not a new tool but it is renewed every time we use it. It brings the greatest libraries of the world to us.   When we didn't have access, we went about our business perhaps less informed. But today we live a stones throw from the Tate Modern the  Louve and the Hermitage and visit all in an afternoon. It is a testiment to the Craft to flow so much material to our students and reseachers. The geni is out of the bottle. Limits of imagination do not exist. The zeitgeist is about the fluid exchange of ideas.  This exposes little of the practice of freemasonry which remains as shared experiences by small groups of men,  a process of the intellect- achievement of awareness.

    Late Night In The Word

    in Religion

Welcome to Late Night in the Word, a radio production of Olive Branch Ministries, Olive Branch International Communications, and www.olivebranchonline.org.  Thank you for listening.  Our program is focused on the Hebraic connections and roots which are in the Old Testament Holy Scriptures that established the revelation of Jesus the Messiah and His Kingdom in the New Testament.  In these last days, it is so important to know and understand for yourself what the Bible is saying.  We don't try to establish theology, we just focus on what the scriptures on saying and how they interconnect to form a beautiful tapestry of Heavenly revelation.
Call or text in for questions or comments and even for prayer needs.  Shalom, Shalom!!

    Celebrating Ireland's Historic YES Vote

    in LGBT

Saturday, May 22, 2015, Ireland carved out a special place in history. Ireland voters clearly voted YES for marriage equality.  Ireland's amended Constitution now provides equal access to all the rights and privileges civil marriage offers.

The BBC reports: "Out of 43 constituencies, only the largely rural Roscommon-South Leitrim had a majority of "no" votes."

In this short podcast, we celebrate Ireland's history making!  Before you go, do share your thoughts in the comment box below as well!

BRPP Presents: Welcome to the World and Sound of Artist Brooke BK Archilla

    in Hip Hop Music

Blaq Radio with Power and Purpose with Host Cherry Bomb and Black Sapphire would love to welcome Musical Artist (Hip Hop, R & B) Brooke BK Archilla. She will allow us and our listeners a glimpse into her world and music...we are honored and privileged.

I was born January 27, 1981.  By the time I was 5 years old my parents had divorced.  My mother needed to make a decision for what was best for the family and my father was struggling with anger issues that led into verbal and physical abuse. My mom decided it was better to be alone than to expose both of us to that situation.  She requested that my dad leave and he did.

My mom was a hobby musician, playing the piano and singing frequently.  She had attempted to pursue music professionally but several factors prevented that from happening.  She is a lover of music and I was raised around all genres of music, taught music history and never was censored from any types of music no matter how young I was.  My mom has a beautiful voice and my earliest memories of music almost always involve watching and listening to her sing and play the keys.

Raised by single mom, I was given a tremendous amount of freedom to express myself.  I was encouraged to vocalize my thoughts and beliefs and it shaped the person I am today, no question...

Chap 1 & 2 "Reading of Rulers of Evil" by Tupper Saussy, Read by Jörg Glismann

    in History

    Chapter 2 MISSIONARY ADAPTATION
FEW PEOPLE SEEM to be aware that the Roman Catholic Church in America is officially recognized as a State.  How this came about makes interesting reading.  Early in his administration, President Ronald Reagan invited the Vatican City, whose ruling head is the Pope, to open its first embassy in Washington, D.C.  His Holiness responded positively, and the embassy, or Apostolic Nunciature of the Holy See, opened officially on January 10, 1984.

(Nun-ci-a-ture a papal diplomatic mission headed by a nuncio)

Shortly thereafter, a complaint was filed against President Reagan at U.S. District Court in Philadelphia by the American Jewish Congress, the Baptist Joint Committee on Public Affairs, Seventh Day Adventists, the National Council of Churches, the National Association of Evangelicals, and Americans United for Separation of Church and State.  The plaintiffs sought to have the Court declare that the administration had unconstitutionally granted to the Roman Catholic faith privileges that were being denied to other establishments of religion.

On May 7, 1985 the suit was thrown out by Chief Judge John Fullam.  Judge Fullam ruled that district courts do not have jurisdiction to intervene in “foreign policy decisions” of the executive branch.  Bishop James W. Malone, President of the U.S. Catholic Conference, praised Judge Fullam’s decision, noting that it settled “not a religious issue but a public policy question.”
