Episode #3: What is an Animal Totem or Animal Spirit Guide?
Did you know that there are hidden qualities and forces of Nature that we can access if we are attuned to the natural forces around us? It is true. Personal power animals and the connection to animals and their wisdom are found throughout the world in many cultures. From cave paintings, ornate jewelry and carvings to countless stories and legends.
Animal Totems express the spirit nature of that species and exemplify qualities we can learn from. They are psychological and spiritual symbols that convey to us the qualities that we need in our daily lives. In essence, they are a mirror of us reflecting our own innate qualities to help ourselves better understand our connection to all things. In this show, we’ll learn some of the natural language the animal kingdom is sharing with us by exploring the following questions: What are Animal Totems or Animal Spirit Guides? How do they work? Why use them in your daily life? Where can you find on-line resources and more information?
In addition, your hosts, Mildred Lynn McDonald and Madonna MacInnis will provide an example of how they use Animal Totems in their own lives to gain a better perspective, understand inner conflicts, connect with Nature, and discern which course of action (or inaction) might be in their highest interest. You’ll love it!

Welcome to Weird Scenes Inside the Goldmine - your essential guide to all things wild and wonderful in the world of cult entertainment!
This week, we're taking a break from our more traditional cult horror orientation to delve into the final frontier of independent, underground cinema!
Kicking off with a nod to its roots in the burlesque loop and the short lived but entertaining early '60s nudie cutie craze, we're talking the surprisingly mainstreamed era of "(adult) chic", when everyday couples and trendy hipster types would venture into the seedy, sticky floored grindhouses of Times Square and the like, taking wallet, jewelry and life in hand to catch the latest hardcore effort, to share their experiences with likeminded friends and maybe learn a new technique or two in the process...
Join us as we speak to the days when fallen (and occasionally rising) cult film auteurs and slumming theatrical types joined forces to express post-hippie idealism and attempt to create some measure of "art" amidst the lowest and most unsavory of companions and financiers...with the threat of arrest and wage impoundment hanging over their heads at all times.
Drop in for a spell, and join hosts "Doc" Savage and Louis Paul as we dig deep into the rich vein of cult cinema, music and television, right here on Weird Scenes inside the Goldmine!

My sculpture, jewelry and drawings tend to reflect each other; drawing in space and creating sculptural jewelry, which are both delicate and industrial. I want the wearer to feel the visual impact of the jewerly without be overwhelmed by the physical and visual weight of the metal. “

in The Bible
"Build you hope on things eternal hold to his unchanging hand". Those are the words of an old Hym that remind us of the eternal nature of heaven. Our focus must be about meeting Jesus Christ one day. All things we loved in this world will perish and things that are eternal pure in nature, Holy unto God will come to the forfront. All the things we worked so are hard for in this life will either burn up or there value will be transended into heaven as the work of God in our lives.
