Jessica & Dr. Tosin discuss the abduction of more than 230 girls in Northern Nigeria. They encourage the world to stay abreast of these "terrorist" abductions and continue to put pressure on the government to act swiftly and find the missing girls. The global politics conversation touches race, media, Western perspective, Global south perspective, and human rights. This dialogue was sparked by a rally held yesterday in Washington, D.C. The interview also looks at the Independence movement in Africa and the Civil Rights movement in America.
On the first episode for 2016 we're joined by clinical nutritionist and leading autoimmune expert Jessica Flanigan to talk about the hugely underappreciated healing powers of love.
Author of "The Loving Diet", Jessica believes that healing from any condition or situation of poor health requires nutritional healing, structured medical care and an awakening process of tapping into the healing powers within.
We spoke about:
- How to turn 'stumbling blocks' into 'stepping stones' - and continue to attract opportunities into your life
- The mindset of mindfulness and how it fundamentally changes your brain for the better
- Meditation and the ancient Hawaiian technique of Ho'Oponoponopono, and how they help us when everything unravels

Dimitri’s Opening Monologue
A new Politico story dramatically confirms what I’ve been saying about Candidate Donald Trump’s fatal flaw. (The Donald still does not get it.) Hillary Clinton accusation about Bernie Sanders creates big. angry. blowback. at the debate; another unforced error by Campaign Clinton! Why is everyone in the media underwhelmed by the brilliant campaign of Ted Cruz?!
Great interview with Jessica Vaughan, Center for Immigration Studies, about the new catch-and-release, wide-open-borders, come-on-in! immigration policy of the Obama administration, and how, because of that, violent gangs of illegals are flooding America

Are you jonesing for Jessica Jones? We know we are! Jonesing for Jessica discusses the hit Marvel and Netflix show Jessica Jones episode by episode. Graphic Policy Radio hosts Brett and Elana are discussing the series and are joined each week by special guests. For this episode the team is joined by Kendra James and Darryl Ayo to discuss the twelfth episode "AKA Take a Bloody Number."
The hunt for Kilgrave reunites Jessica with Luke. Trish receives some unexpected information about Simpson and Jessica.
Double majoring in Cinema Studies and Anthropology, Kendra James graduated from Oberlin College in 2010 and immediately started working in talent management in NYC. When running a blog chronicling her horrible first "real job" experience got boring, she started searching for a writing outlet similar to the ones she'd had in college. That led to a position as the lead Television Correspondent with Racialicious.com (the foremost blog about the intersection of race and pop culture on the web) beginning in 2011. Her writing has been referenced by Gawker, Jezebel, Clutch Magazine, The Root, The Atlantic Wire, and The New York Times.
Since 2002, New York cartoonist Darryl Ayo has self-published minicomics, webcomics, anthology stories and comics criticism. Ayo's most known work, Little Garden has evolved and grown into and through several permutations and can be seen in its current form at littlegardencomics.com
Ayo, is also a commentator, blogging and on comic fandom.
