This is a black arts and culture site. We will be exploring the African Diaspora via the writing, performance, both musical and theatrical (film and stage), as well as the visual arts of Africans in the Diaspora and those influenced by these aesthetic forms of expression. I am interested in the political and social ramifications of art on society, specifically movements supported by these artists and their forebearers. It is my claim that the artists are the true revolutionaries, their work honest and filled with raw unedited passion. They are our true heroes. Ashay!

Today on "It's My House" we shall continue our exploration of 'Intellectual Property" and how ANYONE can create wealth and create money from the Intellectual Property that they PERSONALLY create on a daily basis.
Here is some food for thought:
What do the following people have in common ?:
Madame C.J. Walker
John H. Johnson
All of these people became wealthy via INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY and then selling the fruit of their minds for a profit.

Good morning all you crazy, loyal Hammerheads.....it's hump day, and the day before Thanksgiving. Hammer, myself---Executive Producer, Ellen Johnson---and the rest of the wild and wacky morning crew are glad you have joined us. We have a great show lined up for you this morning: trending news, celebrity gossip, music and more....
Our main story, though---
ARE YOU HAPPY WITH SAG?
The union is in trouble, and the actors ARE NOT too happy with what is going on. Brian will be making a live call, to see if he can get to the bottom of the problem. If you would like to come into the studio, the number is 646-595-3032.
Every now and again, someone decides it's time to speak up and speak out about what is truly going on 'behind the scenes' of what the rest of us believe is a normal way of life. On this show, we have had people like Randy Cramer (Captain Kaye), Max Steel, Miesha Johnson, Hon. Paul Hellyer and more come out and tell us that what we truly think we know isn't necessarily what it seems.
Recently, a gentleman named Sgt. Daniel Brad MacBolen has come out to talk about CERN, Area 51 and black ops. He has had enough. What bothers him is what's happening right under people's noses, due to shadow governments and the cabal in general. He's tired of seeing good people, like you and me, get played by a false reality. He feels it's time to get his message out.
Dan was born into the Military Industrial Complex as a Slave to a MKUltra Project, but through a series of manifested miracles he fell through the cracks to find a new life, where being Loving & Lovable, has led him to an understanding of how to escape the prison of the mindset of this present Corporate World & all of its entrapments. He feels it's now his job and mantra to help others to escape this Prison to begin new lives & a new journey for themselves,by becoming Free-Moral Agents in Service-To-Others.
The Summer of 1984 was an eventful 3 months for new Commissioner David Stern and the NBA; on the heels of an epic 7-game Finals slugfest between Larry Bird’s World Champion Boston Celtics and Magic Johnson’s Los Angeles Lakers, the first of 3 heavyweight bouts in the Decade, the NBA Draft was held in New York City; the Draft would introduce fans to 4 future Hall of Famers who would each write their own chapter in the NBA’s History Books. There was Forward Charles Barkley of Auburn, the rowdy, raucous “Round Mound of Rebound”, his polar opposite, little-known Guard John Stockton of Gonzaga, the majestic Nigerian Center and Number One pick Akeem “The Dream” Olajuwon from the University of Houston, and the electric (Cue Chicago Bulls Public Address Announcer …”6 foot 6 Guard from North KAR-O-LINA!”)…Michael Jeffrey Jordan. These next-level players would secure the NBA’s rapidly growing stature as the Sport of the Future, with Bird and Magic now at the peak of their powers. Jordan, Georgetown Center Patrick Ewing and 10 of College Basketball’s best would represent USA Basketball in the 1984 Summer Olympic Games in Los Angeles, led by iconic and infamous Coach Bobby Knight of Indiana University. Knight, known lovingly as a “Raving Maniac” by his players brought his no-nonsense, drill-sergeant mentality to the USA program and molded yet another Gold Medal Winner. The agony and ecstacy of the Draft process, with its Franchise-changing consequences were never more evident than the summer of ’84.
