God has given the nation of Israel his holy oracles which include his perfect law and his prophecies. But, these things weren't just for them but to also be told to all of humanity. The people he revelaed himself to are to reveal that to all other peoples. Let's look at Jeremiah in particular.
Pastor David Jeremiah is a teacher that I love to learn from a follow regularly. In this show he shares how quickly our priorities can get out of whack. He shares a simple example of a jar and some rocks that illustrate, perfectly, how our priorities get all confused. He says:
"Every day you exchange a day of your life for something. It’s as if at the start of life each of us were issued a certain number of coins. They’re hidden inside a large machine so that we don’t know how many we were issued or how many we have left. Each day, the machine issues us a new coin. It may be the last coin we get, or we may get many more. All we know is that the average person in America gets between 70 and 80 years’ worth, but some get far less; a few may get more.
You take each day’s coin and exchange it for something: a day at work or school, shopping, church, leisure, or whatever. Once spent, you can never get the coins back to spend them differently. The art of living wisely is largely a matter of spending your coins on the things that really matter in light of eternity and not frivolously wasting them. Living wisely is difficult because often the choice is not between the bad and the good, but between the good and the best."

The word that came to Jeremiah from Yah, the Lord, in the tenth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, which was the eighteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar. For then the king of Babylon's army besieged Jerusalem, and Jeremiah the prophet was shut up in the court of prison, which was in the king of Judah's house. For Zedekiah king of Judah had shut him up, saying, "Why do yu prophesy and say, "Thus says Yah, the Lord, I will give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall take it.

There is something about the teaching of Dr. David Jeremiah. In this show Dr. Jeremiah is sharing a Christian's point of view of Heaven. He talks about how the human body, according to the Bible, changes if you are a Christian.
Notes from “The Ultimate ‘Extreme Makeover’” by Dr. David Jeremiah – Turning Point – www.turningpointonline.org Notes compiled by Jan Smith – www.wordblessings.com Page 1 QUESTION: What will our resurrected bodies be like? Paul puts before us a question: 35 But someone will say, “How are the dead raised up? And with what body do they come?” (1 Corinthians 15:35) In the next several verses, Paul gives us some contrasts between our current bodies and the bodies we’re going to have some day. First requirement for a resurrected body is: you have to be dead. 36 Foolish one, what you sow is not made alive unless it dies. (1 Corinthians 15:36) John 12:24 says this: 24 Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain. (John 12:24) The second thing he’s going to teach us is that the result of resurrection is a different kind of body. 37 And what you sow, you do not sow that body that shall be, but mere grain—perhaps wheat or some other grain. 38 But God gives it a body as He pleases, and to each seed its own body. (1 Corinthians 15:37-38) He’s saying that the body that comes out of the grave is different from the body that went into the grave. Example: if you put a kernel of corn into the ground in order for it to grow, what comes out of the ground is not the kernel, it a green stalk that looks very different. It’s a part of the kernel; it represents the kernel, but it’s not the same.

The words of Jeremiah the son of Hilkiah, of the priests who were in Anathoth in the land of Benjamin, to whom the word of the Lord came in the days of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah, in the thirteenth year of his reign. It came also in the days of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, until the end of the eleventh year of Zedekiah the son of Josiah, king of Judah, until the exile of Jerusalem in the fifth month.
Now the word of the Lord came to me saying,
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
And before you were born I consecrated you;
I have appointed you a prophet to the nations.”
Then I said, “Alas, Lord God!
Behold, I do not know how to speak,
Because I am a youth.”
But the Lord said to me,
“Do not say, ‘I am a youth,’
Because everywhere I send you, you shall go,
And all that I command you, you shall speak.
“Do not be afraid of them,
For I am with you to deliver you,” declares the Lord.
Then the Lord stretched out His hand and touched my mouth, and the Lord said to me,
“Behold, I have put My words in your mouth.
“See, I have appointed you this day over the nations and over the kingdoms,
To pluck up and to break down,
To destroy and to overthrow,
To build and to plant.”
God called individuals from differing backgrounds to speak as prophets on his behalf, sometimes in difficult circumstances. The backgrounds of the prophets. Moses was brought up in the Egyptian royal court. Samuel was a temple servant at Shiloh. Elisha was a farmer.
Ezekiel was a priest living in exile in Babylonia. It is not entirely clear whether Amos was a wealthy sheep breeder and land owner or a poor migrant worker before his call to be a prophet. The Hebrew word translated shepherd could equally well be translated sheep...

This episode covers the reading of Jeremiah Chapter 51:34 through Lamentations Chapter 1 through 5. These passages answers questions like: Who determines the times and the seasons of human history? How is injustice against God's people made right? The Book of Lamentation is about God and Reflection. As you are reading the book of Lamentation, you will find out that God's judgment comes to those who sin and who refuse to present their sins to God in the name of Jesus Christ. This is not a bible study, so read and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal you the truth.
