Frat House Sports' Clean-Up Hitters #10

    in Sports

It might only be the beginning of the seventh week of the MLB season, but we’ve already seen our second managerial change and that prompts a full scale conversation among our Frat House Sports’ Clean-Up Hitters, Frat House Mike and the “Frat Boys” Sean and Caleb about managers, their significance, and Hall-of-Famers in the making.

All of this has been provoked by Miami Marlins’ owner Jeffrey Loria removing Mike Redmond in favor of the team’s GM Dan Jennings who comes from a long-line of star high-school players he managed 30 years ago!

We’ve seen some really good pitching so far this season, but not a “no-no.” Frat House Mike predicts there will not be too many this year. He provides a very compelling reason. Of course there could be fewer no-hitters in the future if Commissioner Rob Manfred gets his way and shortens the season.

We’re still talking Bryce Harper and Pete Rose as an analyst . . . and, is Montreal getting baseball back?

    This show’s so good, you’ll just “hate” it . . . if you don’t call-in and weigh-in that is . . . at 347 – 826 – 9964 along with the “Clean-Up Hitters” of the Frat House Sports Radio Network.

From The Desk Of Kiler Davenport Presents: KDL - Interview with Hicks

    in Country Music

Miqael Persson aka Hicks is the first Swedish country artist to land his first two singles in the New Music Weekly Top 10, (“Hayride,” “Mama’s Kitchen”) and the first to reach the Music Row Top 80.  Hicks is also an award-winning songwriter from the south of Sweden, with multiple Gold and Platinum records to his credit. His rock-edged songs have been recorded by artists like Jimi Jamison (Survivor), Giant (Dann Huff), Bobby Kimball (Toto), Little River Band, and many other Grammy- winning artists.  In addition to his songwriting credits, Hicks is an Independent Country Music Association award winner, and the British Country Music Association’s 2013 European Country Act of the Year.  He has been nominated for the New Music Awards, Indie Music Channel Awards, International Music and Entertainment Association awards, and the Nashville Universe Awards. His latest, “I Belong To You” was co-written by Hicks with Erik Martensson, and hit songwriter, Jorgen Elofsson, writer of two smash hits for Kelly Clarkson (“A Moment Like This,” “Stronger.”)  With its anthemic, soaring vocal hook, Mumford and Sons-like rhythm section, and enough fiddles to inspire a river-side hoe-down, “I Belong To You” is a breath of much-needed fresh air for summer playlists. www.hickscountry.com
