The Race Trim MotorSports Hour #19

    in Sports

It’s another rare Friday where the guys are forced to keep the Frat House Sports Garage open late – just too much work to do before tomorrow’s Saturday night NASCAR racing at Richmond International Raceway.

First though we're looking back over last Sunday’s “Bristol Marathon” which saw 11 cautions, four rain delays, and a G-W-C finish. Matt Kenseth picked up his first checkered since 2013 while the “Pesky Boys” were wrecking each other and Denny Hamlin, with sudden mysterious neck pain, was replaced with wunderkind Erik Jones. What to make of it all? The “guys in the garage” are chatting it up.

We’ve got rare Saturday night racing at Richmond and we’ll have our own Brandon on the ground track-side. While drivers like Jimmie Johnson, Kevin Harvick and Denny Hamlin have a history here, could we see Jeff Gordon or Tony Stewart get their first win of the season?

There’s drag racing going on this weekend at the Royal Purple Raceway, and Frat House Mike will be updating NHRA in his report on activities in Houston.

Uncle Mark is going Over the Wall; Sidekick’s got his Fantasy picks; and the rest of the guys are jumping in with their Eat-My-Dust Picks!

    As it’s Friday night, we’ve got the beer . . . if you’re stopping by, you bring the pizza . . . and your comments to the Frat House Sports Garage . . . by giving a call to 347 - 826 - 9964!

    Episode 41 | April 24, 2015: #CallHimHighPockets

    in Sports

We're campaigning for a nickname for the Rockies' Gold Glove-winning shortstop, D.J. LeMahieu, inspired by World's Greatest Human Being Vin Scully. Hop aboard the bandwagon by using #CallHimHighPockets. We'll explain on this week's show.

The Brian Bohanon Memorial Edition of the PDP has us talking about the Rockies' rebound from their five-game skid. We'll discuss Wilin Rosario's optioning down to Albuquerque, Corey Dickerson's hot start, and more.

Striking a Positive Chord with Nihar Suthar

    in Motivation

Nihar is an award-winning writer, covering inspirational stories around the world. Believe it or not, he stumbled upon writing completely by accident after moving to New York City for the very first time. While in the Big Apple, Nihar noticed that there were thousands of people missing out on the greatness of everyday life, due to the very fast paced lifestyles they lived.

As a result of his observations, he had a big idea to inspire people around the globe by writing a book (which was strange, because he always hated reading books. Why would he ever write one?). With the support of his family and friends though, Nihar ended up debuting his first international book, Win No Matter What, with Balboa Press in June 2013.

Since then, his work has been featured in Washington Square News, U.S. News and World Report, The Huffington Post, and several podcasts. Nihar is now working on a new book, The Corridor of Uncertainty (a heart-warming narrative about the Afghanistan cricket team), which he hopes to release in 2015.
