IF THE WILLIE LYNCH LETTER IS REAL, DO YOU THINK THAT THE THINGS THAT THE LETTER METNTIONED ARE TRUE? DO YOU THINK THE AMOUNT OF MELANIN HAS DIVIDED OUR COMMUNITY?

Good Deeds presents Motivational Speaker/Author Tori Lynn.Tori speaks to men and women who are facing or has gone through a divorce or hardship. Tori obtained a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration degree in three years, graduating in 2000. During this time, she was also a full-time student studying to become a license barber/stylist. Tori was born and raised in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and in 2002, Dallas, Texas became her new home where she currently resides with her two daughters.
Tori Lynn travels with her mother, Jerri Lynn, speaker/author of “The Black Woman’s Attitude and The Men Who Want To Love Us,” discussing her new highly anticipated release: The Divorce. Tori speaks on having the confidence to start anew with two children after losing everything: homes, cars, money, her marriage and her Faith.
Facing hardship, trials, and tribulations caused the birth of her autobiography “The Divorce” as she began to write about her experiences while empathizing with others’ pain. Tori candidly shares her own pain and the loss of her faith in family, man, and God. The thought of suicide became an option, but God; who she later realized had never left her, stepped in and turned her mess into a message. She wants others to know that God has not left them either so, LIVE!
On February 20, 2014, Tori released her story in the suspenseful, jaw-dropping, compelling and riveting read, “The Divorce.”
Dr. Jane Leserman, who will be speaking at the International Pelvic Pain Society conference this October, is a medical sociologist and retired Professor from the Department of Psychiatry at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. The focus of her research has been on how stress and traumatic life events (e.g., sexual and physical abuse) affect long-term physical and mental health. Specifically, she has examined the effects of stress and trauma on patients with gastrointestinal disorders, pelvic pain and those with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). Her research has shown that trauma and stress are associated with many diverse and severe health effects years after these events. Stress has been related to faster progression to AIDS and increased risk for mortality among the HIV infected. Patients being seen for chronic pelvic pain and gastrointestinal disorders have worse health status (more health visits, poorer function, more pain) if they have a history of trauma. Dr. Leserman’s research has been the inspiration behind her becoming a member of the board of her local agency to prevent domestic violence. Dr. Leserman has authored and co-authored over 100 papers on topics concerning psychosomatic and behavioral medicine.
You will not want to miss this one-hour discussion on her research behind the role of physical and sexual abuse and trauma within the diagnoses of chronic pelvic pain disorders. This will be a sneak preview of her larger lecture at the International Pelvic Pain Society conference in October (www.pelvicpain.org).
It's called taking the "high road" through a very difficult time in the life of anyone going through divorce, especially those who were blindsighted to the fact of a possible divorce. The issues, the emotions, and the transitions are almost too hard to bear, but...still....it's there. So, how do you cope? What does God say about divorce and can God really help me through to this? That is a resounding YES!!!!
Bible Study Teacher, Lilly Landis, while going through her own divorce realized early on that the thought processes we pick up in God's Word can build strength, hope, grace, protection, provision, and enable you to deeply understand the human heart while going through divorce.
So...are you there now? Do you know of someone who is going through it? On our very first show, we will share in detail the kinds of features our programs will cover. At times, you will be able to interact with a guest and various major topics for all divorcees...you'll be able to hear some much needed encouragement as we go through God's Word, and every time you listen, you will have the opportunity to write out your own thoughts for that specific scripture.
Join us, next Monday, and 10:30AM as we begin this weekly radio show, where you can listen to this in your own private time, yet glean from God's Word where you need it the most! And please know that you can always go back to our archives if you missed our show. Please tell your relatives or friends of this much needed radio ministry...Healing Voice Radio. What is it that makes us want to give up? When is it truly appropriate to stay together vs divorce? We are discussing these questions and more on this lively conversation about divorce in America. We will hear from Tiffany Burton-Gordon, a divorcee who will join us to share her powerful story of resilience after divorce. We will also be joined by Lakia Brandenburg, The Wifestyle Coach, life coach Roz Bazile and Roy Chumley, podcast host, who will share insight and expertise on how to do marriage the right way.
