Tune in Tuesday, Sept. 23rd at 11:30 am est when our guest on Chat in the Garden with Monique A. J. Smith will be Dr. Ingrid Wicker-McCree, the Director of Athletics at North Carolina Central University . She officially began her new leadership role on May 1, 2008. Wicker-McCree, who officially began her reign May 2008, is of the ranks of only a handful of women athletic directors in the UNC system, previously served as NCCU's associate athletics director for internal affairs. She has served in a variety of leadership positions in both conference and national level organizations, most notably as president of the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Executive Board from 2004-06, becoming only the second woman to ever hold that position in the league's history. In addition, she served as a member of the NCAA's Division II Legislation Committee from 2003-07.
Wicker-McCree was one of the driving forces behind NCCU's reclassification to NCAA Division I. From 1998 until her appointment as Director of Athletics in 2008, she oversaw the internal operations of the Athletics Department, including all compliance and eligibility programs. Wicker-McCree began her career at NCCU as the head coach for women's volleyball and softball. She became the first coach in NCCU history to win conference championships in multiple sports, capturing the school's first-ever CIAA titles in softball (1998) and volleyball (1999, 2004, 2005). A three-time CIAA Volleyball Coach of the Year (1999, 2002, 2005) and former member of the NCAA Division II National Volleyball Committee, Wicker-McCree earned 239 match victories in 12 seasons as head volleyball coach at NCCU. She was also inducted into the NCCU Athletic Hall of Fame in 2004 as head coach of the 1998 softball team.
Embattled wide receiver DeSean Jackson makes his return to Philadelphia on Sunday afternoon when the Eagles host the Washington Redskins. Jackson, who suffered Grade 1 sprain of the AC joint in his left shoulder in Sunday's win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, said he expects to play. Jackson was cut by the Eagles in late march and signed with the Redskins days later.
The Eagles (2-0), meanwhile, will attempt to start 3-0 for the first time since 2004, posting victories in their first two games despite trailing by at least 14 points in the second half of each.
Washington will turn to Kirk Cousins at quarterback after Robert Griffin III exited Sunday's contest with a dislocated ankle.

The Chase is here...the Chase has begun. It will take four rounds, 10 races, and one final finish to determine this year's champion. If the start is any indication, this year's battle to take home the Sprint Cup championship is going to be down to the wire.
Dustin Parks and Patti Rodisch are here to give you the low-down on the first Chase race from Chicagoland, and who has the advantage coming out of the first race in the Challenger Round. Brad Keselowski entered the Chase in the lead with four victories, and at the end of Chicagoland, he had five, punching his ticket into the Contender Round. While other Chase drivers had their strong runs, is Keselowski for sure the one to beat?
Not only that, but a couple non-Chase drivers showed a lot of strength, including one very impressive rookie. Will a non-Chase driver take some thunder away?
Plus, Dave Radzierez, the driver of the XDP diesel monster truck, joins the show to preview the final 4-Wheel Jamboree of the season at Indianapolis, Indiana.
All this and more beginning at 6:30 p.m. ET/5:30 p.m. CT.
Tonight we have the honor to hear from husband and wife team John and Charlene Donelson.
Charlene is a survivor of childhood sexual and verbal abuse. She shares her process and the trials of her childhood; how she manages to deal with the reflections that resonated in her adult life. The effects of her past experiences tried try to destroy her emotionally, physically, and spiritually. She holds onto the truth of God’s word that tells us all that, “We are overcomers by the blood of the lamb, and by the word of our testimonies”.
John is also a survivor, but of a different type of abuse. He is a product of a teenage rape, and through the abuse, or (ab-normal use) of an adult’s authority in his life, he shares about how he was exposed to ography at a very young age- that planted the seeds for an addiction. Although this is accepted in our society today, it has a lasting snowball effect on the mind and spirit that causes much pain and destruction; leaving behind a trail of broken relationships, self-esteem issues, ography addiction, and even more. He shares his battles, victories and the lessons that he learned in life to the glory of God.
Starting a family together under these conditions was not and is still not easy. As you can imagine, their journey has been filled with much pain and frustration and yet they made it through together and are advocates against violence and abuse and on the speaker’s bureau for RAINN, the Rape, Abuse, Incest, National Network in Washington, D.C.
Jay and Dre give their viewpoints on all the Week 2 matchups, including New Orleans trying to avoid an 0-2 start in Cleveland, the Falcons and Bengals trying to build on big Week 1 victories, and prime time clashes featuring the Bears opening San Francisco's new house and the Eagles flying into Andrew Luck's dome.
