Listen as Jaclyn Roessel, one of the co-founders of the blog presence 4.0 and Whisper n Thunder board member, shares a dynamic show on Native style, fashion and creativity. Presence 4.0 is a style blog centered on showcasing the ingenuity and creativity American Indian people utilize in styling themselves. Co-produced by a trio of Navajo women, including Nanibaa Beck and Chelsea Chee, P4 documents our Native community’s participation in fashion by featuring individuals’ style and expression on the ground, off the streets, along the dirt road because it happens there every day. The trio will talk about the founding of their blog, memorable posts and the inspiration they find in covering Native people through their site.
Joining the conversation is Dr. Jessica Metcalfe (Turtle Mountain Chippewa), owner of Beyond Buckskin Boutique and scholar on American Indian fashion and Warren Montoya (Tamayo/Kha’po Owingeh) artist and owner of Rezonate Art. Author Sean Sweeney joins host Stephen Campbell in this weeks episode of Murders, Mysteries and Mayhem. Sean's latest Novel, his seventeenth, is REDEEMED, a Dystopian thriller set on the streets of Boston. It's the story of a man's redemption from evil and the evil that has surrounded him. Sean describes himself as an every-genre author and his writing confirms it. His early writing focused on the fantasy genre, but his more recent books, including his Agent series, have been thrillers. Sean's love of reading began in 1988, when he was handed J.R.R. Tolkien’s classic The Hobbit, and was given a needed reading boost with John Grisham novels and the Star Wars Expanded Universe in the 1990s. His passion for writing began in 1993, as a sophomore in high school, when he began writing sports for his local newspaper. Born and raised in North Central Massachusetts in 1977, Sweeney has written for several newspapers and radio stations. Since then, Sean has written seventeen novels along with a handful of novellas and short stories. When he is not writing, he enjoys playing golf, reading, watching movies, enjoying the Boston Red Sox, New England Revolution, Arsenal F.C., and the Gold Coast F.C.
