This week, Peter Greenberg Worldwide broadcasts from The Athenaeum in London. Situated just steps away from St. James Park, this family-owned establishment is one of Peter’s favorites. He’s been going there for more than 30 years, and it started because of Sally Bulloch, the electric, dynamic general manager—and at the time the only woman to hold that post in a London Hotel. We pay tribute to Sally this week, as we’re joined by Tim Arthur, CEO of Time Out, who gives some of his off-the-brochure secrets for visiting London.
Also joining us is London travel writer and U.S. expat Amy Laughinghouse who talks about the best walking tours in London. All of this and more when Peter Greenberg Worldwide broadcasts from the Athenaeum in London.
We're bombarded with books, articles, conferences, quotes, consultants, and workshops about leadership: what it is, what it isn't, and ways to become better and stronger when inspiring our teams.
What does leadership mean to you?
What tools and best practices have you deemed successful - or not - in developing your skillset and success?
Is there such a thing as bad leadership, and what does it look like?
What lessons have you learned on your path of growth and discovery?
Join us in a live interactive exchange on this much discussed issue as we explore these questions - and more. We want to hear from you!
Today, I’m welcoming Dr. Mary Ann Block back to the show to talk about vaccines and legislation. As of this show (3/27/15), Texas Representative Jason Villalba plans to introduce a bill to eliminate religious and philosophical exemptions to school immunization requirements. Much of this activity, locally and federally, was started by a measles outbreak caused by an “unvaccinated woman at Disneyland”. A bill to eliminate these exemptions has already been introduced in California. We’ll be talking about this sudden interest in changing vaccine laws, and what it could mean to you and your family.
