Patrick Simmons of the Doobie Brothers
and Special Guest Cris Sommer Simmons
Daytona Beach, FL (April 7, 2015) One of the celebrated singer/songwriters of our time joins us this Wednesday night on Talking Motorcycles. Patrick Simmons of the Doobie Brothers has written and performed some of the best music of our lifetime and he joins us for tonight's show. Patrick is passionate about vintage motorcycles and recently competed in the coast to coast Motorcycle Cannonball on his 1928 Harley-Davidson JD. He was a guest on our show live at the Hilton Daytona Beach for the kickoff of the 2014 Cannonball and has agreed to be our guest for the full hour and we are most excited to have Patrick on the show.
The bonus is that Patrick will be joined on the show by his wife Cris Sommer Simmons. She has been a major player in motorcycling for many years and recently released her third book on the subject. The Cannonball Diary documents her coast to coast ride in 2010 on a 1915 Harley-Davidson affectionately known as Effie. She is the recipient of numerous industry awards and honors and has encouraged women around the world to get out and ride. In addition to her 1915 H-D, Cris also owns several modern motorcycles.

CLASSIC CHROME - REVIEW OF THE E.J. COLE AUCTION
Special Guests: Ron Christenson, Mecum Auctions E.J. Cole
Recently, the world turned its eyes to the city of Las Vegas, Nevada, where Mecum Auctions handled what is now being called the “Auction of the Century”. 225 staggeringly-rare and historic motorcycles from the personal collection of Mr. E.J. Cole crossed the auction block and headed off to new owners around the world. Many of these machines had never before been seen together and collectively represented the development of the American motorcycle industry throughout the 20th Century. The auction produced several record sales prices, such as $650,000.00 for the 1907 Harley Davidson Strap-Tank, and $775,000.00 for the ex-Steve McQueen 1915 Cyclone. On April 8th at 7pm Central, join us as we sit down with Ron Christenson, head of the Mecum Motorcycle Division, and Mr. E.J. Cole himself to discuss the results of this monumental sale
