Olga Reinholdt: I'm the one who will not let your greatness hide ever again

    in Lifestyle

I am an ontological coach with Accomplishment Coaching.

I'm the one who will not let your greatness hide ever again: you will break paradigm by paradigm, you will be astonished, you will be scared, sometimes you will hate me, but you will shine.

I’m a motivation ninja, idea generator and “no excuses” coach: I’d rather help you find a way or make one.

I know for sure that life is an epic quest with a breathtaking mission. It’s not easy and comfy, but it's worth it.

Not so long ago I packed 30 years of my life in two suitcases, moved with my husband and a three year old son from Kazakhstan to the USA, and started a new exciting life from scratch.  So when we talk about leaving a comfort zone, it’s never just a theory.

I’m bilingual, a big fan of rock music and dragons, devoted Iyengar yoga practitioner, passionate singer, and a Buddhist at heart.

Check me out at www.olgareinholdt.ru/en or send me an e-mail olga.reinhold@accomplishment.coaching.com

I offer a two-hour complete breathtaking, eye-opening and mind-blowing ontological coaching session for those, whose stories, dreams, aspirations and big goals give me goose bumps. So if you want to try ontological coaching (what is it anyway?) in action, tell me a little about yourself and what you are creating in life. If we resonate, I will definitely get in touch and offer valuable coaching experience to you.

The Art and Science of Choosing with Sheena Iyengar

    in Business

Why do we make the choices we make? Is the desire for choice innate or determined by our culture? Are we really in control of our choices, and if so, how much, and what determines this? Join us tonight on the Leadership Focus Radio Show for a very special guest: Dr. Sheena Iyengar. An award winning professor at Columbia Business School, and a recent presenter at TED, Dr Iyengar is the recent author of the much acclaimed book, The Art of Choosing, based on her primary area of research, how people respond and perceive choice. Malcolm Gladwell, the author of The Tipping Point, Blink, and Outliers says about her, "No one asks better questions, or comes up with more intriguing answers." A winner of the prestigious Presidential Early Career Award, with her book just named as a finalist of the 2010 Financial Times Business Book of the Year award, Dr. Iyengar is internationally known as a foremost expert on this topic. We are thrilled to have her here to explore with our host, executive coach, Lisa Pasbjerg, the mysteries of choice in everyday life and the art and science of choosing.

ENVISION THIS:  “Though outwardly our bodies are dying, inwardly our spirits are being renewed every day.”  (Epigraph from II Corinthians in one of Elaine’s New Poems)

After the life-altering experience of the loss of Francis, her spouse, Elaine McGillicuddy knew her calling as a poet and writer had become an imperative. Amazed over Francis’ remarkable request of her when he would die, "SING TO ME AND I WILL HEAR YOU", Elaine chose his words for the primary title of all three of her books and for a CD of her reading The Poems of the first book.  The second book, "A Love Story" is a prose memoir. The third book, New Poems, marks the completion of the author’s trilogy. Reflecting over five years of the author’s experience as a widow, it tracks her progression through the crucible of the death of her spouse.

In this interview, Elaine shares with us fresh insights into what she feels called to do at this transitional time in her life. As she has done before with past birthdays, Elaine will make her upcoming 80th birthday a fund-raising event for Immigrant Asylum Seekers here in Portland, Maine. She will continue teaching Africans English as a Second Language, but beginning this fall – in a formal way, through Adult Ed. She will also be helping a former student with her work with traumatized children. Feeling called to share her story of love and what she witnessed in her late husband’s transformation as he approached his death, Elaine plans to give book readings. As an elder concerned about future generations and the environment, she will also continue their peace and justice work.

We are privileged to hear how Francis’ ministry as a married priest lives on in the heart and the ministry of Elaine, an ex-nun. Their love shines forth as a sacrament of God's love for humankind.

The Art of Choosing with Dr. Sheena Iyengar

    in Psychology

Author, Professor, Dr.Sheena Iyengar has researched and studied choosing discovering many surprising things about it. Her famous "jam study," revealed that when we're presented with too many choices, like 24 varieties of jam, we tend not to choose anything at all. Her analysis examines, for example, the medical decisionmaking that might lead up to choosing physician-assisted suicide, the disadvantages of being confronted with too many choices and options in social-welfare programs, and on the cultural and geographical underpinning of choice. She's just published her first book, The Art of Choosing.,In the book, she explores questions such as why choice is powerful, and where its power comes from; the ways in which people make choices; the relationship between how we choose and who we are; why we are so often disappointed by our choices; how much control we really have over our everyday choices; how we choose when our options are practically unlimited; and whether we should ever let others choose for us, and if so, whom and why. Join Dr. Sheena Iengar, Geo, and Nakisha for a compelling enlighting episode.
