    Please join us today at 3:00 PM for an enlightening and informative discussion with Prof. Gerónimo Alberto Sanchez Garcia and Prof. Alejandro Israel Correa Ortega the Instituto Universitario de Barlovento (IUB) of Venezuela. Founded in 1991. Join us for their in depth and informed perspectives about: the history of African people in Venezuela; the impact of Venezuela's Bolivarian Revolution, lead by Hugo Chavez, on African descendants; and learn about advances in Afro-Venezuelan and African studies in the education system. Sanchez and Correa will also discuss in detail plans for a fall 2010 study abroad project, which will help six students from IUB visit the US in spring semester 2010.
