Today's Show will be with Eddie Morin, Vietnam vet, Purple Heart Award Winner 2nd generation Author of the Book “Valor and Discord"
I just finished reading the Book when Mr. Morin called to set up the show. I found the book to be fascinating because it not just about Latino Medal of Honor winners but a story about how the Vietnam war touched so many lives from the start of the war to the very end. It also Mr. Morin's story of experiencing both the war and its aftermath.
Mr. Morin is also the son of Raul Morin who wrote the book "Among the Valiant” Mexicans Americans in WWII and Korea.
I also read that book and found it extremely interesting
As always I invite all of you to come and join in the conversation, I know I am looking forward to it
PS I want to thank my friends at Homestyle Donuts Corner of Washington and Norwalk Blvd Whittier for letting use their dining room for my show (they have great donuts )
The latest Morbidity and Mortality report (MMWR) released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows that from 1995 to 2010, there was at least a 100% increase in the prevalence of diagnosed diabetes cases in 18 states. Forty-two states saw an increase of at least 50%.
Earlier this year, a report in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine estimated that 42% of the U.S. population will be obese by 2030 and an additional 30 million Americans will be obese in 18 years.
Obesity is a major risk factor for Type 2 diabetes, and like the increased prevalence in diagnosed diabetes cases, the rate of obesity in the United States also increased over the last decade, although it now appears to have steadied.

Continuing our series on the need to self-restore...more of our African-American icons are emerging in the media, and our oppressors are doing what they do best...stretching the attention on their infractions in an effort to eliminate any power base African Americans may have. Beyonce, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj and the mass of "black reality" shows depicting loud, unruly, shopaholic women who value being public spectacles have become "approved"entertainmentby white media, and our Black men, in their state of emascualtion, are supporting the degrading emulation of Black women instead of standing up for them as we should. It's the conclusion od our "WAKE UP" series...join us as we put the need for our Black men to uplift their Black women as queens to put another tool in our artillery against the mission to obliterate the Black coomunity's power.
