3rd Hour - Al Islam Based Conversation with Imam Nazim Pasha
“Believer” refers to a saved individual and the evidence of salvation is a changed heart – a new outlook, better attitude and even a new nature. Additionally, salvation is paid for by Christ, is secured immediately upon believing and apart from belief requires no effort from the person being saved. We can neither deserve nor earn the right to salvation.
“Christian” however, is different to salvation. “Christian” (aka Christian living) focuses on a person’s life – how they act. The difference is, while salvation saves a soul, Christian living saves a life and it does that by molding the character of the newly saved person from what they used to be to what they should be. Instead of lying they speak the truth. Instead of lazing they work.
Pauline Prison Blues
Prison is fine, but it's not a total cakewalk. Go figure. It's mostly a bummer because Paul can't get out to see any of his fellow Christians. He has to settle for writing letters. Luckily, he's pretty good at that. Paul wants all his Christian friends to know that the key is Jesus. He's the source of all God's wisdom and knowledge. He might not be physically present, but Paul's there with them in spirit. Time for a Clean Slate Just keep living lives in Christ and everyone will be fine, says Paul. Paul warns them not to be swayed by false teachers who swoop in with their fancy theories and lead nice Christians astray. Human traditions and ideas don't mean anything. It's the stuff that God tells us that really matters. The Christians in Colossae used to be non-believing Gentiles. That means they weren't circumcised like Jewish guys. They knew and understood God through Jesus, not through thousands of years of Jewish law, scripture, and traditions. After Jesus died, God didn't worry so much about all the laws and traditions that he had made such a big deal about starting way back in Exodus. God took those rules and the sins of the world and he nailed them to that cross with Jesus. Watch Out for False Teachers. They also shouldn't panic about what foods they eat, or which festivals they celebrate or what they should and shouldn't be doing on the Sabbath. God just wants everyone to put their faith in Jesus. Besides, if Christians are dead to the world, then why would they need to worry so much about all the worldly things they're doing? No bacon? No work on the Sabbath? No touching unclean things. They think they're being holy when they do these things, but in reality, following these rules doesn't have any effect on a person's heart, says Paul. Sorry, law-lovers.
2 Corinthians 8:1-7 New King James Version (NKJV)
Excel in Giving
1 Moreover, brethren, we make known to you the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia: 2 that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded in the riches of their liberality. 3 For I bear witness that according to their ability, yes, and beyond their ability, they were freely willing, 4 imploring us with much urgency that we would receive[a] the gift and the fellowship of the ministering to the saints. 5 And not only as we had hoped, but they first gave themselves to the Lord, and then to us by the will of God. 6 So we urged Titus, that as he had begun, so he would also complete this grace in you as well. 7 But as you abound in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in all diligence, and in your love for us—see that you abound in this grace also.

“Put your sword back in its place,” Jesus said to him, “for all who draw the sword will die by the sword. 53 Do you think I cannot call on my Father, and he will at once put at my disposal more than twelve legions of angels? 54 But how then would the Scriptures be fulfilled that say it must happen in this way?”
55 In that hour Jesus said to the crowd, “Am I leading a rebellion, that you have come out with swords and clubs to capture me? Every day I sat in the temple courts teaching, and you did not arrest me. 56 But this has all taken place that the writings of the prophets might be fulfilled.” Then all the disciples deserted him and fled.

The New Essenes is a gathering of ordinary people practicing deep introspection as a way to solve everyday problems. Our inquiry is based on the idea that the Word is alive and that the Language is where our Power lives: communication is not what is said and done, but the result of what is said and done.
By joining in and coming back, we increasingly benefit from the distilled essence of an ultimate method of inquiry, based on Sacred Geometry and known as the Path of XPR.
Our meetings last one-hour & are structured as follows:
1. The first 5 minutes: Welcoming, Checking In. taking a moment of silence.
2. The next 10 minutes: Ritual readings.
3. The last 45 minutes: Introduction of a topic from our eBookhttp://thywillbedoneinc.com/pdf/New_Essenes.pdf. Group Sharing & Inquiry, Summary / Ritual Closing.

On Saturday, July 16, 1054, as afternoon prayers were about to begin, Cardinal Humbert, legate of Pope Leo IX, strode into the Cathedral of Hagia Sophia, right up to the main altar, and placed on it a parchment that declared the Patriarch of Constantinople, Michael Cerularius, to be excommunicated. He then marched out of the church, shook its dust from his feet, and left the city. A week later the patriarch solemnly condemned the cardinal.Centuries later, this dramatic incident was thought to mark the beginning of the schism between the Latin and the Greek churches, a division that still separates Roman Catholics and Eastern Orthodox (Greek, Russian, and other). Today, however, no serious scholar maintains that the schism began in 1054,In addition, since the ninth century, theological controversy had focused on the procession of the Holy Spirit. In the life of the Trinity, does the Spirit proceed from the Father only, or from the Father and from the Son (Filioque in Latin)? The Western church, concerned about resurgent Arianism, had, almost inadvertently, added the word to the Nicene Creed, claiming that it made more precise a teaching already in the creed.
The Roman Catholic and Orthodox churches have been at odds for over 1,000 years. Friday's meeting in Havana — where Pope Francis and Patriarch Kirill will sign a joint accord — could be a critical step towards helping heal the rift.
It took two years for the Holy See and the Patriarchate of Moscow to hash out the terms for the meeting — not long in the grand scheme of things.
The Western and Eastern Christian churches split over persistent theological disputes in 1054 — and formally separated in 1438.
. What was still not known or just not taught was that in order to be able to perform the third you truly needed to master the first one. Only recently have it become known that refusing to cry is not a true mark of a man because any male who call themselves a man should never be afraid to show all of his emotions and be vulnerable especially with that one person whom he truly believes actually get him. In other words, be all of who you are in any relationship and if you have that one true soul mate, it will blossom into a love those songs are written about and every person dream of.
As so many are acknowledging today as that special time to express love to each other, I too would like to do the same.
