Was The Iraq War Worth It or Not?

    in Music

Was the Iraq war worth It? What did we accomplish?Who benefited from the war? Why can't our soldiers get the medical care they deserve? How many families have been broken by the cost of war? Was the human sacerifce worth in terms of life times injuries and death. How many additional deaths have occurred as a result of post tramatic syndrome?  Has the state of Iraq gone back to what it was prior to war? What are the lessons learned?

Politics Done Right - Minimum wage, Another Iraq War?

    in Politics

    This week’??s show
    Minimum wage, Another Iraq War?
    August 8th, 2014

The big story this week is our reentry into Iraq. Did the President do the right thing? Is it only America’s responsibility to police the world? Should other countries that depend more on the oil from that region be more engaged? Those are questions that must be answered. The burden of war seemed to be placed more on  Americans than anyone else. But is it our leaders continual intervention that makes that our reality?

But before we get into Iraq, I want to talk about the minimum wage debate. This week an unlikely person weighed in with a welcomed position. Joe Scarborough made finally owned up to reality.

What are your thoughts? Let’s  talk. I will also be following our hash-tag #PoliticsDoneRight on Twitter.

Making Sense with Steve Leser - Iraq War Special and Week

    in Politics

This week, a special Making Sense with Steve Leser will examine the 10 year anniversary of a seminal event that should have prevented the Iraq war. This segment starts by recapping Rachel Maddow's excellent coverage of the runup to the Iraq war in her on air special "Hubris", then exposes and highlights a critical rarely talked about event that should have stopped the Iraq war from happening.
We will also discuss some of the top issues of the week and of course we will have our trademark hall of fame and shame for those politicians and other prominent individuals making great sense or shameful nonsense, respectively.
