Author and physics teacher, Ira Mark Egdall, quarks with myself and co-host, Marta Merajver, about his soon-to-be released book. One might call it "Einstein For Dummies" but it isn't really. After all, it's all relative, right? Hopefully, Marta and I can link Einstein's groundbreaking insights with major literary developments that coincided with his seminal work in the early 20th century. If true literature doesn't reflect contemporary, societal trends, than what should? Call in or post questions to the online chatboard for the author.
Most investment choices don't earn great curiosity, but if any are deserving of that kind of attention, it would be the Roth IRA.
Financial planners routinely say that younger people should invest in a Roth because they would most benefit from its many wonderful qualities. But the truth is, Roth IRA accounts make a good choice for people of all ages.
With Roth IRAs, savers get a tax-free stream of income in retirement. And it's not just the contributions that come out tax-free. Uncle Sam doesn't lay a finger on any of the earnings. It can be a pretty sweet deal when you're talking about decades of compounding.
The only catch is that you pay income tax on your contributions upfront (post-tax dollars).
Unlike the traditional IRA, which gives investors a tax deduction for the year the contribution is made, the Roth version lets savers contribute after-tax money today and withdraw principal and earnings tax-free at retirement.
The Roth can also be used for educational purposes, major medical expenses, and first home buys...with qualifications.
For individuals looking for tax diversification in retirement, the Roth IRA is one of the few tools they can create that ensures that they have a stream of tax-free income in retirement.

SPONSORED BY MARK PITTMAN--If you've been a listener of the On The Edge Show wih Kaydee Barnett & Friends, you know two things--A) that we are avid in our efforts to bring awareness and promote restoration to the African-American community by facing the ugly reality of its state head on with a no-holds-barred approach..and B) you know that the amazing, powerful and no-holds-barred music of Paul "PR" Robinson, singer of the amazing singles "So Tired" and "Catch 'EM, are always played somewhere along the line of our broadcast. PR, like so many of us, is tired of the tragedies and injustices that are inflicted upon the African-American community. He boldly tackles issues such as racism, discrimination and Black-on-Black crimes in his amazing single, "So Tired", attacks gun violence in the hip-hop tuned "Catch 'Em", and touches on white supremacy in what is considered a controversial song entitled "Willie Lynch". Join us live @ 10:30 pm EST to hear his thoughts on the state of Black America and the solutions we should strive to achieve. Call 347-327-9967.

Tune in Sunday for PNN - 7pm
We know ourselves to be Christians. Who else knows that? Are you a full time, part time, per diem or on call Christian? When you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, He replace the darkness into light. Are you a light that SHINES or barely LIT. Are you SHINING for GOD or for yourself. Is it possible that you think you're a light living in darkness? If you're a light how come you can't see and noone else can see you? Where do you position yourself?
He said to them, "Do you bring in a lamp to put it under a bowl or a bed? Instead, don't you put it on its stand?
"No one lights a lamp and hides it in a clay jar or puts it under a bed. Instead, they put it on a stand, so that those who come in can see the light.
Therefore, if your whole body is full of light, and no part of it dark, it will be just as full of light as when a lamp shines its light on you."
Tune in it's going to be great....
I am very excited tonight to be joined by a new co-host for our Friday and Saturday shows. Mike Slack is going to be sharing the mic with me for the foreseeable future. Join us tonight and welcome Mark to our fellowship!
Tonight we are going to deal with two ballot questions. Amendment 1 is the "Right to Farm" amendment. This issue has passionate conservatives on both sides the like of which we haven't seen since St Louis wanted to control its own police force. The mic is open to anyone who wants to participate in the discussion.
Then we will turn our attention to Amendment 7, the 3/4 cent sales tax. Again, feel free to join in on the discussion.
Listen live at 7PM Missouri time. The studio line for joining in is 347-677-1835.
