Controversial, thought-provoking debates, lectures and authors going beyond the Sunday sport spectacles and religious services.
A rumor exists there will be more “debates.” Maybe by then people won’t be forced to buy carnival tickets to witness what should be accessible and in the public domain.
Take a quick poll of your neighbors; ask if any listened to the gubernatorial and senatorial candidates’ “debates” as staged at the Kansas state fair last Saturday.
We live in a time where every distracted electronic screen grazing person should have access from portable telephones, homes and public libraries to these “debates.”
Yet, every election cycle, as shameless gangsters the manipulators of public opinion put in the "fix." The ringmasters can be seen shoveling stupidity, handing out tee-shirts with pulled pork sandwiches, the better to produce imbeciles.
Rumor of more “debates” do not allow for less gaseous innuendo belching from the mouths of Gov. Sam Brownback and Sen. Pat Roberts, as heard in Hutchison.
Brownback and Roberts blame the black president or Harry Reid at every opportunity, and yell “Big Government” when the numbers don’t work out.
They and a majority in the state legislature are using what Bush #41 called “voodoo economics” to drive the Great Cornpone Revolution.

Parents may at times feel overwhelmed by the responsibility of teaching their children about all there is to know about being a human being, no the less about being a Christian. There is teaching “about” and there is teaching “to blindly believe in; two different things.
When they seek guidance on the subject many just feel further swamped. Relatives and friends are often happy to pass on their suggestions, but is that the version of God you truly want to teach your children? When it comes directly from you the parent you’re more aware of your vocabulary and any innuendo being passed on.
The Bible, on the other hand, provides parents not only reliable counsel on what to teach their children but also direction on how to teach them.
Join us as we look at four Bible-based recommendations for parents to teach their children about God.

As Christians we are at war in the spiritual realm.
This message is for the Christian warrior. We'll look at our adversary, the devil and then our amour, attack and allies. Remember there's a dark, diabolical, deadly, dirty war that’s being fought in America today. And it's a form of guerilla warfare complete with sabotage, subversion, innuendo and sniping. It's a war between light and darkness, good and evil, heaven and hell, Christ and Satan and whether you realize it or not, you're a part of that war. So we cannot afford to be ignorant or neutral concerning this war. If you try to be neutral you’ll find yourself in the crossfire and that's the most dangerous place of all to be. And let's not even talk about being ignorant ok? And did you know that the church was never intended to be a showboat, it's a battleship and we're at war! Now think about your church for a minute: Is it more like a Carnival Cruise Ship or does it remind you of the USS Constitution? We have a nation in peril and party time is over! So this message is a warning, a call to arms, and a declaration of victory. Remember when you're born again, you're born from above!!! And being heaven-born, we are heaven-bound, but also born for battle! We are soldiers of the King, Jesus! But most importantly when we are born again, we are born to win!!! And that's what we must understand! So this is a POWERFUL passage of scripture that talks about the Christian warrior intended for each and every true believer! Paul's talking about you and me; so we must understand what God’s saying, not just in a general sense or as long ago history, but what God is saying specifically to you and me!
Cammarata grew up playing in club bands (started on the Stax/Volt catalog) in Baltimore, MD. At 17 he was afforded the privelege of recording 2 singles on the local Bay Sound label with the 'semi-legendary' George Massenberg producing. In 1974 he relocated to Los Angeles for the express purpose of becoming a rock star. The Zippers (1976 to 1981). This was anti-disco/corporate hair band time in LA. The best description of The Zips is they were kinda the unholy offspring of The Kinks and Cheap Trick . The band released a single on Backdoor Man Records in '78, and a subsequent Ray Manzarek produced 6 song EP on Rhino in '81 just before they imploded.Cammarata used the next 5 years establishing a new career in production and musical prostitution. This afforded him the opportunity to work with new and established artists; playing guitar, doing background vocals, arranging... whatever. From this grew a nice referral list of pro players hired for 'one-shot' parts. The result was a succession of reciprical session work with guys like sax man Cornelius Bumphus, violinist David Green, pianist Mike Garson, and a whole boatload of interesting and 'art-for-art's-sake' musicians.
After a self-imposed 20 year hiatus Cammarata found himself in Phoenix. These days Cammarata performs with partners The New Brothers; a stripped-down, 3 man, guitar/vocal trio. The songs have taken on a new interprative persona live; mostly because, as Cammarata puts it... "The songs are what they are; naked. I expect my bandmates to dress them as the situation demands. Obviously, playing with guys like Charlie (Dickens) and Reggie (Chavez) makes this intuitive.... it's intentional."His music has been described as "An amalgam of gutter-blues, spaghetti-western mastication, and late night innuendo".
