Hate Exercise Less: Lose Weight, Gain Energy

Hate Exercise Less: Lose Weight, Gain Energy with Greg Mumm, Fitness Trainer

Greg Mumm is an obsessive learner and, like a curious detective searching for clues, he has spent a lifetime collecting knowledge and information. Greg is also ambitious, and in 2004 decided he would dedicate his life to helping as many people as he could.

Bothered by people doing endless situps, time-wasting stretches and other unproductive--and mind-numbing--exercises; motivated by people who discipline themselves to exercise, but are miserable; puzzled by individuals who don't exercise, but want the benefits; mesmerized by those who unexpectedly came to enjoy exercise...his first task would be to help people hate exercise less.

As a certified fitness trainer with a computer science degree (now there's a combination), he has the background and brains to utilize his vast knowledge and experience. In fact, his first book showed that there was a "hard" side to working out (for example: which exercises to do and the minimum time to do them) and a "soft" side to working out (for example: conquering boredom, motivation, and people).

MyNDTALK - Time Bandit - Edward G Brown

    in Psychology

Time Bandits   "You may not realize you are at the mercy of Time Bandits - people who steal your precious time, not with malice or intention, but with crippling effect on your own pursuits. They steal 40-60% of your time. And because your worst Time Bandits are probably your family, colleagues, clients, bosses, and friends, we can't just
say no - we would risk offending them, or worse, losing clients or getting fired.

Thus, The Time Bandit Solution is a step-by-step lesson on how to recover stolen time you never knew you had.  It is designed to teach you the arts and skills for graciously negotiating with the Time Bandits to prevent interruptions from sapping your productivity and satisfaction. The Time Bandit Solution also explains how the damage they cause lingers well beyond the interruption itself, how the stress of interruptions subtracts joy from your most important endeavors, and how to redeploy the time you recover.

Do you often think or say, ''I have too much to do, and not enough time to do it''? If so, this book is for you. If you find yourself frustrated by too many interruptions and feel powerless to prevent them, you want to read this book. With The Time Bandit Solution, you will free yourself from the distress of unwanted, unnecessary and unproductive interruptions, and recapture the time to do what you must and what you dream of doing."

College football news and wrapping up NFL week 13

    in Sports

In this episode of The Red Light Sports Ramble; presented by The Red Light Sports Network; Evan Witalison and Troy Otradovec will discuss some of the games that helped teams, and then discuss some teams that are starting to falter.  The week started, on Thanksgiving, and the NFL had the schedule right on paper.  However, the games were not competitive.

Sunday rolled around and outside of the Green Bay Packers vs. New England Patriots, there were few games, that seemed intriguing.  However, as the day rolled on, every team, in the AFC North, lost except the Cincinnati bengals.  They now have a two game lead, in the loss column.  The tie against the Carolina Panthers could actually benefit them, down the stretch.  The Arizona Cardinals sputtered, in Atlanta.  With the Seattle Seahawks winning, on Thanksgiving, they pulled within one game, of the frist place Cardinals.

The biggest news heading out of the weekend, Johnny Manziel scored his first NFL touchdown.  Manziel replaced an ineffective Brian Hoyer, and now there is a quarterback controversy. Who would you start at quarterback?  Listen in and call the show.

    The Banner Blitz is Back

    in Internet

Back at the turn of the century banner ads were everywhere.  You couldn't read a zine or surf a web portal without seeing dozens of banner ads all vying for your attention.  Then in 2003, banner ads were declared as extinct as the dodo bird.  Was this due to the fact that they were ineffective as a source of traffic, or was it more the fact that over time animated ads had become annoying?  Regardless, the bane of in-your-face online ads was over ...Or, was it?  Ten years later, banner ads have resurfaced with a vengeance.  Since 2003, the number and variety of video ads pop-up ads and other online annoyances have grown like a cancer to infect most every major purveyor of information and news.  It's gotten to the point where it's sometimes hard to read the story you clicked on due to all the machinations occuring in front of, above, below and alongside the copy.  If the return of the banner ad blitz has you seeing red, tune into this episode so we can show you how you can fight back.
