Tonight- Two bills HB 5439 and HB 5440 have been introduced in the Michigan House Representatives by Reps. Kevin Daley (R- Lum) and Peter Petallia (R- Presque Isle). As reported on in the Compassion Chronicles- "One bill will enact a new definition of marijuana that separates non-intoxicating industrial hemp from standard strains of medicinal marijuana; the other will adjust the agriculture laws to remove prohibitions on research and cultivation of the multi-purpose plant." Our mini-series "Can cannabis cure cancer?" continues.
Joining us tonight- Everett Swift, the director of the Michigan Industrial Hemp Education and Marketing Project, also known as MIHEMP, as well as Steve Sharpe, board member of MI NORML. Both men have been instrumental in educating people in Michigan and working with the legislature to help get the industrial hemp bills introduced.
Joining us to continue our discussion- 'Can cannabis cure cancer?' will be Gersh "Peanutbutter" Avery and Jon Roberts of the Cannabis Cancer Project.

This week on Beyond the Veil, we will have a very special guest Collette Flanagan! She is the founder of the Dallas organization Mothers Against Police Brutality, or MAPB. She has been touched very personally by police brutality and it has sprung her into action to fight back. We will discuss her organization, as well as the growing problem with police brutality both in the Dallas area and nationally.
The United States contains 5% of the world population, and yet houses 25% of the worlds incarcerated. Because of this we will also be looking into the Prison Industrial Complex and the impacts it has had on society.
And lastly, we will also present to you the Leak of the Week, courtesy of WikiLeaks!
It's a red pill, blue pill, going down the rabbit hole kind of show featuring: outside the box politics, philosophy, and Gonzo journalism. Covering the current events with Blake "the Eccentric." Today's show features special guest Anton Konev, Albany councilman who is introducing the toughest anti-NDAA resolution in the nation!

Unacceptable Levels examines the results of the chemical revolution of the 1940s through the eyes of affable filmmaker Ed Brown, a father seeking to understand the world in which he and his wife are raising their children. To create this debut documentary, one man and his camera traveled extensively to find and interview top minds in the fields of science, advocacy, and law. Weaving their testimonies into a compelling narrative, Brown presents us with the story of how the chemical revolution brought us to where we are, and of where, if we’re not vigilant, it may take us.
Over 80,000 chemicals flow through our system of commerce, and many are going straight into our bodies. Even our unborn children are affected. Due to this constant exposure, we have approximately 200 synthetic industrial chemicals interacting with our cells every single day. Until recently, modern science really didn’t understand what that could mean for all of us in the long run, but that is changing.
Globally, disease rates are on the rise. Theories about the causes abound, yet the issues are complex and often muddied by the maneuvering of political and corporate interests. To explore different facets of common chemical exposure, Unacceptable Levels, was made in consultation with experts in multiple fields and is guided by a father on a personal journey as he attempts to bring these issues to light for everyone. Its primary goal? To determine whether we can prevent disease before it strikes us.
Unacceptable Levels opens the door to conversations about the chemical burden our bodies carry so that we can make informed decisions now and in the future. The film poses challenges to our companies, our government, and our society to do something about a nearly-unseen threat with the inspired knowledge that small changes can generate a massive impact.
The Cannabis Show is all about cannabis...medical uses, legalization of, hemp as a sustainable resource (save our forests) and recreational uses and tools for same.

The organization developed a program to maintain family unity (Warrior Family Unity Program) and a program to aggressively address military suicide (Spec Matthew W. Comeaux Peer Support and Mentoring Program). Recently, the organization went througha transition to signify their goal of assisting statewide and “rebranded” itself as the Military Advocacy Project of Louisiana.
Then we have Frank McRae. He is the former head of the US Army Special Forces Advanced Reconnaissance Target Analysis and Exploitation Techniques Course (SFARTAETC) at Ft. Bragg N.C. He started his military career in the 1st Ranger Bn as an 11B infantryman. He served in the 1st Special Forces Group (ABN) Okinawa Japan. And finally, we have US Senate Candidate from Louisana, Ret. Col. Rob Maness. Col. Maness Rob made the decision as a 17 year old high school senior to enlist in the Air Force and served in the midst of the Iranian hostage crisis. He worked his way up from the enlisted ranks to full colonel and retired from active duty in 2011, ending his military service of more than 32 years. During his military service, Colonel Maness led numerous combat operations; two of which were as a bomber squadron commander in operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom.
Our country is going through transformations not seen since the Industrial Revolution. America is transforming because it HAS TO. The current state of our nation, politically and economically, is unsustainable. Change is the only certainty. I am a part of that change. If you live in the United States, consciously or unconsciously, YOU are a part of that change too. As we go through these changes together, we will be the ones redefining the state of America, the new American state. These are extraordinary times.
