Talking in Circles: Indianapolis Review -- Thoughts on the Package

    in Sports

On tonight's episode of Talking in Circles, Clayton has the week off, and we bring in John Harlow from BeyondtheFlag.com for his tutelage on the sport.

We'll talk about the racing we saw at Indianapolis Motor Speedway this weekend. What'd ya'll think of the new package that NASCAR put out there? Why was attendance and ratings down for this week?

Kyle Busch won the Crown Royal Presents the Jeff Kyle 400 @ the Brickyard, and it's his third straight win and fourth in five races.

We'll talk about Kyles' dominance and why Brandon thinks this stretch of races for Kyle Busch is much more impressive than people know.

We'll also discuss strategies of Tony Stewart and David Ragan last Sunday at Indianapolis. They chose short pitting. Brandon and John will discuss these strategies and whether or not they work in this era of NASCAR.

We'll talk about Jeff Gordon's day, and how he did in his final start at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and Brandon will go on in saying that NASCAR is at fault for ruining the storyline that they had going into the race.

We'll also talk about the NASCAR Xfinity Series race in Indianapolis, and of course the Eldora dirt race for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.

The race in Eldora was phenominal and created buzz for race fans all around the country. Is it time for Xfinity or Cup even to go dirt racing? Why or why not? And Kyle Petty said some interesting quotes about this on NASCAR America following the Eldora race, and Brandon will try and dispute those comments.

Also, we'll talk about race winner Christopher Bell, and the man of the hour in the truck series, Bobby Pierce and why their futures in NASCAR is up in the air.

And also, Danica's sponsorship, and some interesting stuff going down at MWR.

The Don S. McClure Show-Live POWER FOR YOUR FUTURE NOW AND HOW?

    in Lifestyle

The Don S. McClure Show - Our Show Topic for tonight:

POWER FOR YOUR FUTURE NOW AND HOW?

There is a true energy source inside of you.

You were born with this amazing power.

But knowing how to tap into this wealth of knowledge and energy, can be a problem.

What are the true signs that you are not using your full power?

How do you know when this power inside is turned on.

And most important, when do you use this power in both good and bad situations and decisions.

Are you paying attention to other things that have found a way to tap into the power grid?

While I was in Downtown Indianapolis, Indiana.

I passed by this sign in front of the City County Building and read how they had found a way to make electricity more affordable.

The sign read:  THIS LIGHT TOWER RUNS SOLELY ON ELECTRICITY. GENERATED BY SOLAR AND WIND POWER.

It will generate an ESTIMATED (1, 080 Kilowatt-hours of electricity each year.)

Which is the amount of electricity required to power an AVERAGE HOME for one entire month.

Why are we not using and directed toward the same power and usage in our own life?

    in Sports

Mind of Mansion Podcast Episode 150: Matt Kelley @fantasy_mansion explains why Andre Johnson's 2014 inefficiency wasn't the red flag that it seemed.

Andre Johnson was the one acquisition Ryan Grigson got right.

Andrew Luck and Aaron Rodgers are the great erasers of GM mistakes.

BlogTalk's head of programming liked the new Star Wars movies.

Finally expelling the stench fo Turkish hackers from PlayerProfiler.com.

Committee backs were hurt a lot in 2014: Darren Sproles, Gio Bernard, Shonn Greene, Reggie Bush, Mark Ingram, Danny Woodhead.

Wolff's law and the hardening of running backs to injury over time.

The idea tht Frank Gore has a 94-percent chance of playing all 16 games is absurd.

Adrian Peterson's hopeless John Riggins comp

    in Sports

Mind of Mansion Podcast Episode 149: Matt Kelley @fantasy_mansion explains why Andre Johnson is not done yet, but Frank Gore is toast.

Adrian Peterson fans have a singlar archetype to latch onto: John Riggins.

Buzzards prefer carrion but do eat bread when desperate.

Frank Gore most definitely has a greater than 6-percent chance of being injured.

A meeting with the head of BlogTalkRadio programming unintentionally ruins an entire episode.

Frank Gore and Adrian Peterson are historically unique athletes in unique situations with unique injury histories leaving any predictions about their fate with a higher margin for error.

    32 For 32: Indianapolis Colts

    in Sports

There may not be another team in the AFC w/ higher expectations in 2015 than the Indianapolis Colts. Fans still feel that the team was cheated during the AFC Championship game against the Patriots, & perhaps rightfully so. This team should have a chip on their shoulders after getting obliterated 45-7. Many believe this team is one step closer to obtaining another Super Bowl trophy & maybe they are. But if this unit is going to get over the hump then quarterback Andrew Luck has got to limit his turnovers. The guy threw 4 picks during last year's playoffs, including 2 costly INT's against New England. If he does that, there's no limit to what this team can accomplish. & w/ the off-season additions of wide receiver Andre Johnson & running back Frank Gore, Luck may finally have enough offensive help to capture a Lombardi trophy. Those guys may be nearing the end of their careers but they still have enough in them to make another Super Bowl run in 2015. I'm anxious to see what the defense will look like. Despite recording 41 sacks last year, this team still surrendered a lot of points, particularly in games against Pittsburgh & New England (twice). Bringing in linebacker Trent Cole is a nice pickup. He'll get a chance to help make that defense even better. There's a very bright future in Indy but can they live up to expectations? How will they respond after playing extremely poorly in the conference title game? Tune into "The Rocket Sports Breakdown" Tuesday June 30th @ 10:30am in another 32 for 32 NFL team coverage. Rocket Nation, get ready for a power trip.
