Having a loving relationship in the lost city of Atlantis

    in Lifestyle

Join the conversation with Pastor Juan Goodson as he talks About "How to having a loving relationship". This is part 2 of conversation.

THE LOST CITY OF ATLANTIS has always been synonymous with UFOs, Bigfoot, and other myths espoused by psychics and conspiracy theorists. But did you know people are out there actively looking for it—RIGHT NOW? And that the search for the city is so popular that it actually has a name - “ATLANTOLOGY” -and even its own online encyclopedia, the “ATLANTIPEDIA”?

Far from alien conspiracy theories and other pop culture myths, everything we know about Atlantis actually comes from 2 stories by one of western civilization’s most brilliant thinkers, PLATO!!

Now MARK ADAMS, author of the critically acclaimed bestseller “TURN RIGHT AT MACHU PICCHU,” brings us a compelling and highly entertaining book of reporting and adventures in “MEET ME IN ATLANTIS: MY OBSESSIVE QUEST TO FIND THE SUNKEN CITY.” 3  years, 8 countries, and countless fascinating experiences later, Mark will tell you stories – fact or fiction – about the lost city of Atlantis! And he’ll reveal his own surprising conclusions about whether Atlantis existed and if so, where its ruins lie!!!

    City of Ferguson Indicted

    in Politics

The Justice Department on Wednesday called on Ferguson, Mo., to overhaul its criminal justice system, declaring that the city had engaged in so many constitutional violations that they could be corrected only by abandoning its entire approach to policing, retraining its employees and establishing new oversight. The report described a city that used its police and courts as moneymaking ventures, a place where officers stopped and handcuffed people without probable cause, hurled racial slurs, used stun guns without provocation, and treated anyone as suspicious merely for questioning police tactics.

“Seen in this context — amid a highly toxic environment, defined by mistrust and resentment, stoked by years of bad feelings, and spurred by illegal and misguided practices — it is not difficult to imagine how a single tragic incident set off the city of Ferguson like a powder keg,” AG Holder NYT

    in Politics

Mike McCoy and Deanna Reeder discuss the latest civic affairs in the City of Moreno Valley. Guest David Marquez will help recap the 3/3/2015 Study Session and give his input into cleaning up the city. The City's proposal to loan money for fence repairs and how to fund installing median landscaping. Why are the companies that have donation containers failing to register them with the city? Maybe the $800.+ cost? Why do residents discard mattresses and other large items when the city contracts Waste Management to pick them up for free? Are these mattresses coming from other cities or are our residents unaware that with a call they get picked up for free? What can we do to fix this?

    Travel Today - Cairo Egypt

    in Travel

This week, Travel Today with Peter Greenberg from Cairo, Egypt. We’ve been broadcasting at least once every year from Egypt since 1998. Tourism numbers are down drastically in Egypt, but, as a veteran traveler to the region, Peter argues that this is perhaps the best time to go! You’ll find hardly anyone at the pyramids, and while more than 300 boats usually travel down the Nile in Luxor, this year only about six are operating. Joining Peter will be John Boulding, CEO of Insight Vacations to discuss why his boat, the Tosca, is running—as business is slowly starting to improve.

A few ambassadors also stop by to give their situation report on Cairo and the rest of the country. Then, we go on a quick detour to visit celebrity Chef John Besh to talk about another city that knows all too well about recovery: New Orleans (especially as we near the tenth anniversary of Katrina). All of this and more during this week’s episode of Travel Today with Peter Greenberg from Cairo, Egypt.
