Breaking the Chains.....Releasing Old Patterns for Growth

    in Motivation

    I have a dream...Celebrating Our Jubilee!

Our forefathers and mothers planted trees from which we gather fruit, and dug wells from which we quench our thirst. Civil Rights Activist marched for us, died for us and pleaded for our equality.

So what are we leaving behind for our communities today? What are we fostering in the minds of our Black children? How will we strengthen our families and our communities? How will we show the power of LOVE in the world? How are we Leading Change?

Fifty years ago, Dr. King's "I Have a Dream..." Speech debuted in Detroit and transformed a nation. Today, we Celebrate our Jubilee and join in that movement of teaching us all to evolve in our beliefs, values and purpose for the elevation of our consciousness into the greatness that lies in the Human Spirit.

Today, we must look deeply at our patterns of behavior if we expect to see changes in our communities, our schools, our children and most importantly, in ourselves. Living is a major City that is creating a major divide in the standards of living, access to jobs, and so much more, it is imperative that we look to our history for guidance, and access our we are carrying that vision forward. We must look for innovative ways to offset what's being set up for our children.

And how do we do that? We look at our patterns of behavior in how we are operating, thinking, spending, learning, and sharing so that we can release old patterns that no longer work, and innovate new ways of achieving growth for our communities.

Tune in to today's show to learn how to changing old patterns will release new creative powers at our disposal that may have been lying dormant due to blockages of past experiences.

We are powerful, and together we rise!

THE OCHLOCRATIC REVIEW - THE OCHLOCRATIC REPORT

    in Religion

Psalm 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.

2 Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.

3 There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.

4 Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,

5 Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.

6 His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.

7 The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.

8 The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.

9 The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.

10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.

At Eye Level 5/25/15 - Memories and other things divisible by 5

    in Entertainment

Hey, what's five times three times five?  Ah, who cares?  But it's a day divisible by 5, which brings Frank Zappa to mind (cue "Five Five Five" from Shut Up N' Play Yer Guitar here), not to mention jazz fusion, prog and more.  Oh, yeah, and something about remembering veterans, too.

Remember when we had a country by and for the people, one for which men were courageous and willing to fight for our collective individual rights and freedoms?  Remember freedom of speech?

I know, it's been some time now since Y2K and the Presidency Where Sanity Went Away, and we got morons like Antonin Scalia telling us "the Constitution is dead", but some of us still believe in the "Grand Experiment" our Founding Fathers built for us, and know in our hearts that THAT'S what our vets were fighting to preserve...rather than the sad corporatocratic oligarchy and burgeoning serf fiefdom a band of red leaning lunatics are trying to dismantle our proud nation into.

So come and celebrate what this country is actually all about - the rights and freedoms of the individual, with a safety net for the general public, the rights of the lower and middle class worker over the wealthy shareholder and an eye towards the greater good.

It's Memorial Day on At Eye Level!
