    Indie Books #84 (Grier Cooper)

    in Books

    Tune in and join me as I welcome this week's guest.

    Author Grier Cooper joins me this week to talk about her book: Wish, (Indigo Dreams Series Book 1)

    For Indigo Stevens, ballet classes at Miss Roberta’s ballet studio offer the stability and structure that are missing from her crazy home life. At almost 16, she hopes this is the year she will be accepted into the New York School of Ballet so she can begin her ballet dance career. First she must prove she’s ready, and that means ignoring Jesse Sanders, the cute boy with dimples who is definitely at the top of Miss Roberta’s List of Forbidden Things for Dancers.

    But Jesse is the least of Indigo’s concerns. When she discovers her mom is an alcoholic, it simultaneously explains everything and heaps more worry on Indigo’s shoulders. As her mom’s behavior becomes increasingly erratic, Indigo fights to maintain balance, protect her younger brothers from abuse, and keep her mother from going over the edge. But life with an alcoholic parent is unpredictable. When the violence at home escalates, Indigo realizes she can no longer dance around the issue. At the risk of losing everything, she must take matters into her own hands before it’s too late.

    The Tiny Mouse by Janis Ian

    About Brain Pickings

    Brain Pickings is a cross-disciplinary LEGO treasure chest, full of pieces spanning art, science, psychology, design, philosophy, history, politics, anthropology, and more; pieces that enrich our mental pool of resources and empower combinatorial ideas that are stronger, smarter, richer, deeper and more impactful. Above all, it’s about how these different disciplines illuminate one another to glean some insight, directly or indirectly, into that grand question of how to live, and how to live well.

    The Edge with Cassandre Dayne

    in Books

    Join me on Sunday, April 26th at 2pm EST as I talk with author, Christian Jensen. His upcoming release, the first one with Booktrope, is certain to indulge your dark cravings. Lone Survivor is about Bigfoot, who turns into a zombie, and a single man who just might save the day. His works as a horror and thriller author have been called grueling as well as dark and demented. He's also a co-author of several books with me including Toxic Leash, I Like to Watch, The Darkness Within, Believe in the Dark Man and Beauty and Rage - all to be released in the upcoming months with Booktrope.

    We'll no doubt have a lively discussion about his writing talent, the crazy things that make his warped mind tick and other delicious topics.

    Join us if you dare...

    Liberty, and getting a Shepard to lead

    in Politics

    Liberals and democrates hate freedom, Liberals and democrats hate Liberty, all liberals and democratsd lover muder, slavery, are thevies, and haters of life.

    Well enogh is enoth for it is time to say good by to all liberals and demcrats, for now is the time their phony leadership and misguiding the poeple to phoniness is over.

    In matter of fact all liberals and democrats hate life and everything that has to do and deal witrh life. This fact is truth that all liberals and democrats love to see children stap a bomb on their backs a allow themselves to be blowen up, or to see a child murdered in the mother's womb. Liberals and democrats love to seal from the poor to give to the rich.

    Obama, Clinton are leading the charge to destory and muder a child in the mother's womb for both just hate children and hate freedom to be both free and to have liberty.

    All republicans are no doing anything to stop those that love to murder like Obama and cliton do and the rest of the liberals and democracts like to see.

    So now it is time to say enough is enough the liberals and democrats must leave all the government offices and it is time to have those who are lovers of freedom and liberty in power again like in 1776.

    in Spirituality

        We head to Proverbs 3:9 with Pastor John Bazemore, Jr., and Restoration Christian Ministries, as we address the fact that giving to God is a form of worship. How do we give to God? Through the ministers and pastors that represent Him.

        Pastor B clears up any misconceptions about pastors and preachers, and stresses that giving is to your benefit, and not the other way around. This edition of RCM Live puts the power of giving on display, via the King James Radio Network.

    The Armenian Genocide: 100 Years of Denial

    in Politics

    Friday, April 24, 2015 marks the 100th anniversary of the deportations in Western Turkey which resulted in the genocide of the Armenian people. Over the next nine months nearly 1.5 million men, women and children were either brutally murdered, starved to death or else  forced to march across a parched desert to their almost certain extinction, by Turkish gendarmes and  their accomplices at the behest of the Turkish government.  This event, one of the greatest tragedies of the 20th Century, has been recalled in countless books , articles and documentaries and its veracity is without question.  Yet to this day, the Turkish government refuses to recognize this massive human rights crime, let alone apologize for it and most world governments have stonewalled any attempt to build a universal recognition of the events of those months.  This conference will seek to investigate the motivations behind the genocide, the extent of the massacres and the reasons the world has largely failed the memory of the innocent victims.

    The Last Days of Jesus#7: "The Resurrection"

    in Spirituality

    An Investigation into The New Testament Bible

    The Story of Jesus  : THE ASCENSION OF JESUS

    From 3 perspectives

    * The Biblical world viiew

    * The Academic/Scholastic

    * The Urantia Book

    189:2.6.The Christian belief in the resurrection of Jesus has been based on the fact of the "empty tomb." It was indeed a fact that the tomb was empty, but this is not the truth of the resurrection. The tomb was truly empty when the first believers arrived, and this fact, associated with that of the undoubted resurrection of the Master, led to the formulation of a belief which was not true: the teaching that the material and mortal body of Jesus was raised from the grave.

    189:2.7.The tomb of Joseph was empty, not because the body of Jesus had been rehabilitated or resurrected, but because the celestial hosts had been granted their request to afford it a special and unique dissolution, a return of the "dust to dust," without the intervention of the delays of time and without the operation of the ordinary and visible processes of mortal decay and material corruption.
