Many people under estimate and undervalue the importance of self-esteem, while others place too much of their energy on the concept. On this episode of KNOT, we will define and dissect the concept of self-esteem, while focusing on methods to maintain it through emotional control and coping skills. We will also discuss how not having self-esteem can have very detrimental ripple effects in the entire world a person encompasses. As well as the perils of, if it is possible, having too much self-esteem. This is sure to be a polarizing topic, drawing many varied and interesting opinions. Make sure yours is heard.
Greetings! Welcome to the Church For Higher Transformation. I'm your Sheperdess Rev. Priestess. Join our broadcast Friday at 9 pm to discuss the importance of the family. We will be asking the question, Are you a team player? A lot of family structures are breaking down because the family is not moving as a unit, everyone has a different agenda. As a father are you present with your children, or are you living one life at home and another life in the street? As a mother are you concerned with the spiritual, mental and physical development of your children, yourself, your mate? Join the Sheperdess as we discuss factors that keep us from being successful in our family life and the obstacles that keep us from experiencing true happiness in our homes.

How important is what we say? Interestingly enough, the book of James says our whole religion rides on it (James 1: 26). As it were, God cares a great deal both about what we say and how we say it. Think about it: Martin Luther King, Jr., fueled a movement with his words. Forty years later, Barack Obama was elected arguably because of his words. Even now, US citizens are positioning themselves to vote based upon each presidential candidate's words. And, according to the Lord Jesus, the people of God are sanctified by God’s word (John 17: 17). Since what we say is so powerful, it is vital that we speak according to the law of Christ.
Join us today for a BlogTalkRadio show entitled “The Importance of Watching What We Say.” We will discuss the criticality of bridling the tongue and provide biblical counsel as to how to go about doing so.
Join Catholic speaker and author Gary Zimak as he discusses the importance of compunction, or being sorry for our sins. In addition, we'll read and discuss today's daily Mass readings, which emphasize the need for us to lean on the Lord as we face our daily problems. If the Lord brings us to it, He will see us through it. Tune in and let's discuss!
Dr. Annie Abram and Armin Brott, a fathering expert and the author of many books about fathers will discuss the importance of fathers in their children's lives. Although, there continues to be a stigma associated with "care-giving" dads, through out last two decades the role of the father has been increasingly recognized as just as important as that of the mother in determining the well being of children in every aspect of their development. For example, the involvement of a father in a girl's life is instrumental in how she thinks about herself as a woman, a worker,
and increases her confidence on every level. Of course, this is true for boys as well, largely through gender identification.
A former Marine, Armin Brott has devoted the last 20 years to providing men with the tools, support, and knowledge to help them become the fathers they want to be——and their families need them to be. His eight critically acclaimed books for fathers have sold well over a million copies. Titles include The Expectant Father: Facts, Tips, and Advice for Dads-to-Be and The New Father: A Dad’s Guide to the First Year. He has written on fatherhood for hundreds of newspapers and magazines and is a frequent guest on such television programs as the Today Show. He also writes a nationally syndicated newspaper column (Ask Mr. Dad), and hosts a syndicated radio show (Positive Parenting). He lives with his family in Oakland, California.
Humor brightens our atmosphere and strengthens our connections. Laughter is the medicine of the soul and a stress reducer and an enhancer of our spiritual growth.
