Dementia is a term that is used to describe a collection of symptoms including memory loss, problems with reasoning and communication skills, and a reduction in a persons abilities and skills in carrying out activities of daily living. There are a number of different types of dementia the most common being Alzheimers Disease, Vascular Dementia, Frontol Temporal Dementia and Dementia with Lewy bodies. A diagnosis of mixed dementia is when the presentation shows the person to have elements of more than one type of dementia. Dementia is a progressive condition. The symptoms become gradually worse, the rate of which varies from person to person and each person will experience dementia in a different way. The purpose of working with people who have dementia, is to improve the functions that the disability affects to the highest possible level. Once achieved, NLP is used to shift the focus and strengthen every other function and resource that the person is using to compensate for the areas that no longer work to their full capacity. Through using the techniques of NLP, we can improve the persons quality of life and provide them with more independence by removing any possible frustrations she or he is experiencing. Tune in to this segment of The NLP View Radio Show, as host, Donna Blinston talks to author and health coach, Olive Hickmott about how she uses NLP to help people who suffer from Dementia. Cerridwen Fallingstar is an American Wiccan Priestess, Shamanic Witch, and author. Since the late 1970s she has written, taught, and lectured about magic, ritual, and metaphysics, and is considered a leading authority on pagan Witchcraft. William Louis Harvey, a nom de plume, worked in California during the era of the California medical malpractice insurance crisis, as well as afterwards, when the MICRA law took effect, limiting the monetary awards for "pain and suffering" in trial verdicts. He also chaired a committee that reviewed all malpractice claims involving a major California hospital. Harvey continues to follow the national attempt to control the costs ofmedical malpractice litigation, known as Tort Reform. While Malpractice! The Novel, is a work of fiction, it is rooted in the personal experiences and first hand knowledge Harvey acquired during his years on the front lines of the clash between the medical and legal professions. Details of some of the cases he experienced are engraved in his memory, and small portions of these find their way into the novel—probably a ccommon occurrence with writers of realistic fiction. Malpractice! the Novel refers to Tort Reform ( a tort, in civil law, is a wrongful act ). Harvey, like many others, believes that California’s MICRA law is a good model for national Tort Reform, with modification.

Last week, we broke new ground by doing a live, on-air past life regression on one of our co-hosts. By doing so, we made available the tools for you to try to discover your own past lives. THIS WEEK is an opportunity for you to call in with questions about what happened, the process of hypnosis and regression, soul contracts, soul groups, any question that last week's show brought up. You can also ask Kristina Rake, M.A. our theologian and psychic medium, to get a sense of any of your own past lives. She and Dr. Chuck Kennedy will explain why knowing your pre-birth past can help with issues, anxieties, and conflicts that you have today.

Tonight's special guest is Deb Maybury, a returning NAASCA family member, public speaker, activist, Harmony Integration Coach and facilitator at The Gatehouse in Toronto, and author of "Unlock The Door-Beyond Sexual Abuse" and "What Is Your Teenage Daughter Afraid Of?" She describes herself as an entrepreneur .. a woman of many hats who's focus is on assisting others in their healing process through awareness, support and connection. It is her mission to be part of the movement to remove the stigma and taboo associated with sexual abuse and to do that in a way that promotes a healing. In 2006, her dearest old friend of 33 years lost her battle with cancer. She told Deb, "I'm not afraid of dying; I'm just not ready to go.” Ms. Maybury's response? "I told her that if she was leaving me here I was just going to have to do, be, become, enjoy, and learn enough for both of us. In her memory, I continue to strive to learn, teach, and challenge myself and others." Ms Maybury has certainly kept her promise and is an excellent representative of the NAAASCA family and mission. She also hosts her own "Reveal, Connect and Heal" talk shows, and recently interviewed NAASCA founder, Bill Murray.
