Fury Road is killing it in theaters. Yet, SO many people I talk to have NEVER SEEN the original trillogy!
Say it ain't so! We're gonna talk all about the original films and dig deep into the post-apocolyptic-amazingness that is the Mad Max universe! The football shoulder-pads, krimped 80's hairstyles, killer boomerang weapons thrown by the Ferral Kid, beefcake-hockey-masked-leaders, nitrus-fueled-muscle-cars and bug-eyed-nasty-car-wrecks ... all that stuff.
Check out the real-life Thunderdome pics in our slide show from Death Guild! David King is the owner of Death Guild night club in SF, he's one of the founders of the Thunderdome at Burning Man!!
We also cover an intriguing theory about Max in this new movie. IS this Max?!
"Ah'll droive thayit taynkah!!"
Welcome to "The Mad Scientist's Sports Lab", hosted by "The Mad Scientist of Sports" Nick Ficorelli. This is not the average everyday sports show he is bringing to the air waves. "The Mad Scientist" has created his own personal sports lab, and you, the audience, as well as many of his special guests, will be his test subjects. He will throw theories out, and you never know where they will be coming from. He will keep everyone guessing, and he will open his lab to any and all comers. And this time, he is bringing in his top apprentice to help him run the lab - "Stat Boy" Andrew Gluchov, formerly of WTMY 1280AM Sarasota and The Sports Chronicles Radio Network. Be prepared for "mad science" sports talk at its best.
Our special guest "Test Subject" tonight at 10pm EST is Donte Rumph, former SEC standout who has a very compelling story to tell following his stint with the Atlanta Falcons. Also, he will let us know about his tryout with the New York Giants, and what is next for him in and out of football. Other guest "Test Subjects" will be: 1030pm, Ralph Cindrich, NFL Agent who will talk about his career and his upcoming book "NFL Brawler"; 11pm Lowell Moore founder of What A Fan, who will explain what is What A Fan, how it came about, and the annual conference they have every Labor Day Weekend; and 1130pm David Spada, co-host of "Sports and Torts" on TalkZone, and co-author of Talking Football (Hall Of Famers' Remembrances) Volume 1.
The beacons are lit, the experiments are on the chalk board, and the test subjects are at the ready. The Mad Scientist's Sports Lab is now OPEN for business.

I admit it I am biased I'm a boxing fan. I grew up watching the sport with my conspiracy crazed uncle Glenn. I watched Muhammad Ali at tail end of his great career. I also remember other great fighters such as Sugar Ray Leonard,"Marvelous" Marvin Hagler, Tommy "the Hitman" Hearns, Roberto Duran as well As Larry Holmes and later on Mike Tyson. I used to save my coins to purchase K.O magazine. boxing always appealed to me. It gave me great entertainment there is such a beauty to it especially when I see a boxer get knocked to the canvas and eyes rolled back. MMA on the other hand has started gaining steam its history is not as detailed but, some think it's better than the sweet science. The fights take place in a mad Max thunder dome type of setting chain linked fence octagon. I think it's a fad. I don't get why it gets so much love from crazy fans call in and explain this fad to me
Jim the Radio Guy and Mike the Radio Guru talk about the David Letterman and Mad Men finales, in between talk about everyone's favorite 1970s Swedish supergroup! Warning - there may be spoilers! Plus - previews of coming movies!
