SORT BY Relevancy
A conversation with Gayle Foreman, Jamie Blackley, Chloe Moretz, and Joshua Leonard. Mia Hall thought the hardest decision she would ever face would be whether to pursue her musical dreams at Juilliard or follow a different path to be with the love of her life, her rebellious boyfriend, Adam. But when what should have been a carefree family drive takes the lives of her mother Kat, her father Denny, and her little brother Teddy, everything changes in an instant, and now her own life hangs in the balance as she lies in a coma in the hospital. Caught in limbo between life and death for one revealing day, she flashes back into her past, and has an out-of-body experience as she watches friends and family gather at the hospital. She must make a decision that will not only decide her future, but her ultimate fate.
On this week's show we'll take a look at the loooooooong-anticipated sequel Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, plus the faith-based footbal drama When the Game Stands Tall, and Chloe Moretz's weeper If I Stay!
We'll also recap last week's True Blood and look ahead to the season finale!
Pastor Teresa Burton will use the Word of God, Godly wisdom and life experiences to empower and teach young ladies how live a VICTORIOUS life.
Your host, Pastor Teresa along with her Co-Hosts Catera, Takesha, Jalah, Larea and Kazhe will create an impactful discussion that is guaranteed to challenge our listening audience of teen girls. Our discussion bring encouragement and reassurance that it is possible to live a Christ Centered life as a teenager by providing strategy along with biblical and practical tools to overcome daily issues.
This episode will help and encourage you as young lady to stay focused under the peer pressure you face daily.
As a young person, peer pressure is one of the biggest issues in your life! It’s amazing what one will do because she is pressured into it by her friends. Friends who want you to “prove” something to them – that you are a part of their crowd, their worldliness, their sin.
That is why choosing the right kind of friends is so important.
What is peer pressure?
Is there something wrong with being accepted?
Does God want me to have a boring life as a teenager?
Is peer pressure easier to overcome as a Christian teen?

SHOW NOTES: This HELP! SITUATION SPOTLIGHT™ series addresses challenges, obstacles and problems (real or perceived) that are preventing a person from surpassing their goals! What is holding you back from surpassing your goals? In this episode we examine the issue, "Should I Stay or Should I Go?"
Why am I treated this way? How does this person (or organization) continue to hurt me and not care? I know that I deserve better, how do I get from here (pain, rejection, disappointment) to there (being respected, nurtured, supported)? How do I stop feeling bad and start feeling good?
We delve into this topic, "Should I stay or should I go?" by examining three situations with adults who are expressing discontent and/or frustration with not being consulted with or respected by other adults. One is an adult living with their parents, one is an adult that moves in with a romantic partner and one is the adult who expresses frustration about their work environment.
The issue is whether these are similar or analogous issues and what an adult should do from the perspective of increasing their personal contentment. The ideal situation in life is for all adults to respect each other and collaborate to work towards compromised outcomes (with our family of origin, with our family of choice/ creation and with our professional endeavors).
The question is what do we do when that is not occurring? How should an adult address a situation where they are not respected, consulted or part of a collaborative process? Should they stay or should they go?
