2015 marks the 50th anniversary of the band that drove the 1970 Billboard smash “Vehicle” to the top of the charts: The Ides Of March. Last Band Standing is a perfectly executed celebration of The Ides Of March history and a showcase of a band still in their prime at 50 years deep. Original members Jim Peterik (also of Survivor fame and songwriter behind “Eye Of The Tiger,” and well as many other chart-toppers), Bob Bergland, Larry Millas, and Mike Borch started as group of teenagers whose love of Rock N Roll and R&B led them to showcases and bandstands around their native Chicago, eventually hitting it big nationally with “Vehicle.” The first four audio discs contain material from across their storied career. Included are Warner Brothers albums Vehicle and Common Bond, first-time-ever releases of the best of their RCA releases World Woven and Midnight Oil ,Spirit Of Chicago. Rarities like “Like It Or Lump It” and “No Two Ways About It” Billboard charter You Wouldn’t Listen . The audio portion is completed with brand new Ides of March tracks, including the brass driven “Who I Am,”Too Far To Turn Around,” and the aptly titled “Last Band Standing,” featuring Steve Cropper – the iconic songsmith of Booker T and the MG’s and organizer of the Blues Brothers. Disc five is a live DVD of The Ides Of March performing 15 of their most iconic songs in an eleven camera shoot at the House Of Blues, Chicago on May 31, 2014. This DVD boasts a slew of extras: archival footage from their TV appearances in the 70's, new interviews, a look behind-the-scenes, a photo collage spanning 50 years ,an exciting new music video for the title track “Last Band Standing.” Showing no signs of slowing down, The Ides Of March, who continue to tour to this day, are truly worthy of the title Last Band Standing. ?

It's been a roller coaster year, that's for sure, but we're looking forward to it all being over. While the changing of the calendar doesn't guarantee things will change, just knowing there's a new day coming is good enough for us.
We're actually really excited about all of the changes that are and will be taking place in the next few months. It's great to finally be able to DO the things we've been talking about doing. Talk about putting up or shutting up, am I right?
So, take a break from the holiday crazies and enjoy yourself one last time, before the relatives start showing up at your door. Share your holiday stories/nightmares with us. Do you have a holiday show/event/party/tradition that you'd like to share with our listeners? then call in and tell us all about it.
March 15 is the Ides of March. The infamous day when Brutus stabbed his good and trusted friend Julius Caesar in the back. Caesar didn’t see it coming. In your life how often do you put your trust and faith in people only to have them betray you or turn their backs in time of turmoil?
On the next Being Human Now we explore betrayal and what it means to your choice of companions. What does their betrayal say about you and your beliefs about yourself? Our special guest will tell personal stories that will enlighten us all.

Valentine's Day is fast approaching,it feels as if we just got over Christmas, spent a lot of money, going back to work to pay that dept. off, and then a month and a half later there's Valentine's.Go figure, then what happens, we spend more money to get that special someone, if you have a special someone, something special for Valentia’s Day. Valentines is the day of love, so we say, do you know that many people break up before Valentine's even gets here.Valentines, is the most expensive holiday of the year, and why is that? Well let's just take a peek and see what's really going on with Valentines,
The history of Valentine’s Day,and the story of its patron saint–is shrouded in mystery. We do know that February has long been celebrated as a month of romance, and that St. Valentine’s Day, as we know it today, contains vestiges of both Christian and ancient Roman tradition. But who was Saint Valentine, and how did he become associated with this ancient rite?
While some believe that Valentine’s Day is celebrated in the middle of February to commemorate the anniversary of Valentine’s death or burial–which probably occurred around A.D. 270–others claim that the Christian church may have decided to place St. Valentine’s feast day in the middle of February in an effort to “Christianize” the pagan celebration of Lupercalia.Celebrated at the ides of February, or February 15, Lupercalia was a fertility festival dedicated to Faunus, the Roman god of agriculture, as well as to the Roman founders Romulus and Remus.
Join me Hezekiah L. Montgomery Host of The Man In The Mirror, and guest Co-Host Kimmarie Price as we do our Pre-Valentines show which airs on February 12, 2016. We're prepping you something special as we take a sneak peek about Valentines and Love, what’s love got to do with it?!!
35,000 e-mail messages to delete and not one has been reread for content by the State Department. Can you possibly fathom that many e-mails??? Who can keep track of such a number??? I wonder who was responsible for reading and catagorizing such a number? If anyone can, it's Hillary's crew of supporters. I don't know about you, but I have enough trouble keeping track of one cell phone and a few e-maills. Aside from this, Senator Cotton's letter to the Supreme Leader, along with the signauture of forty-seven sitting Senators is still big news, along with the resignataion of three-time Congressman Schock of Illinois. Can we possibly make "heads or tails" of all of this??? And guess who is back...Monica Lewinski!!! Yes, she has just completedone of those "Ted Talks" on surviving "cyber hate mail." A extra Spooky evening with Scott Cluthe and Michelle Belanger.
Michelle's newest book is The Ghost Hunter's Survival Guide. Michelle Belanger's childhood could be a story straight from Ray Bradbury's October Country. Her small Midwest town featured a haunted public library, and it celebrated the return of flights of turkey vultures every year on the Ides of March
. Afflicted with a life-threatening heart defect from birth, Michelle endured both out of body experiences and near death experiences before the age of five. Her mother believed that these traumatic brushes with death made Michelle more sensitive to psychic phenomenon. Michelle herself believes that her skills arise from a combination of genetics, environment, and fate. Michelle's psychic inheritance manifested in a variety of ways, the most remarkable of which was psychic vampirism.
Michelle identified and came to terms with this condition while still in her teens. Her pioneering work, The Psychic Vampire Codex (Weiser, 2004), details concepts and techniques that she learned through an intensive study of her vampiric experiences. All of Michelle's other works similarly benefit from her unique combination of personal experience, intellectual insight, and intensive research. A firm believer that psychic perceptions are something that anyone can cultivate, she teaches a variety of techniques based upon a fundamental perception of psychic energy.
Her non-fiction works include the best-selling Psychic Vampire Codex, (Weiser, 2004) Sacred Hunger, (Dark Moon, 2005) and Psychic Dreamwalking (Weiser 2006), Vampires in Their Own Words

Ides Of March
The 15th of March was characterized in ancient Rome as the Ides Of March, a day that fell on the middle of the month. Traditionally many celebrations and festivities were had during this time, most hedonistic and carnal in nature. Most celebrations culminated in a sacrifice to the roman pantheon (the Roman gods) who were just as fallible and corrupt in nature. So in dishonor of this ancient tradition, we are going to discuss what true and righteous sacrifice is to a true and infallible God.
