SORT BY Relevancy
Through my reseach of different ideological and religious persuasions I see that they're all just different interpretations of the same core principals. Historically religion incorporate with culture was a way to secure natural resources for that particle group or tribe with this came the who's god is greater complex, religious zealot and impose evangelism. As a result there was wars nations conquering nations and colonization all in the name of their GODS. Now I'm not promoting a mass uniting of groups but I'm promoting we as humanity sincerely respect each others ways and stop allowing ourselves to be divided by small differences.
We're talking budget cuts, and why could no one make a deal?
We're also talking to author Eric Golub who has written a book called Ideological Bigotry, about people hating conservatives and republicans because of their beliefs mainly thje mainstream media.
We'll also chat with James Lowe
A Lifestyle expert who will chat about the US Postal Service's effort to try to sell clothing and be cool and appeal to the younger crowd.
Join us this week as we talk about the roots of racism in white culture and its impact on communities of color with Community Change Inc.'s Paul Marcus, Lead Trainer and Consultant for the racial justice and equity organization.
Paul Marcus is a white anti-racist activist, educator and consultant. He is the Lead trainer at Community Change, Inc. in Boston, MA, an organization where served as Executive Director for 16 years. Founded in 1968, Community Change’s mission is to promote racial justice and equity by challenging systemic racism and acting as a catalyst for anti-racist action and learning. His own journey has led him to continually examine the limitations the ideological lenses he caries with him as a straight, white, male in a society that structurally privileges people with those identities. Foundational to all of his work is making visible the systemic reality of racism and other forms of oppression – you can’t challenge something if you don’t know it exists. He co-taught and taught the “History and Development of Racism in the United States of America” at Boston College for over 30 semesters and has recently taught “Dynamics of Racism and Oppression” at the Simmons College Graduate School of Social Work. He has had extensive experience planning and conducting workshops and trainings for wide variety organizations and communities. He has worked with organizers and educators from all across the country exploring and challenging the role of white people in perpetuating and maintaining white supremacy, racism and white privilege. Paul lives in Concord, VT with his wife, Patricia Shine and their cat, JD.

8.10.14: You may know Mr. Zucker better from his blog South Bronx School. He has a pretty compelling tale up on his website about the necessity of tenure for professional educators. Notwithstanding our various ideological debates on education reform, who's right, who's wrong, and who's potentially racist or sexist, there are people out there in a lot of pain because they tried to do what's right. We need to emphasize and find ways to support our fellow educators. Remember, no activist, wonk, or pundit would have anything without the tireless efforts of the classroom teachers.

BUFFER ZONE AND HOBBY LOBBY RULINGS – DOUBLE VICTORIES FOR PRO-LIFERS
On Monday, pro-lifers celebrated their second victory in recent weeks when the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that business owners can object on religious grounds to a provision of President Barack Obama's healthcare law that requires closely held companies to provide health insurance that covers birth control.
The court held on a 5-4 vote on ideological lines that such companies can seek an exemption from the so-called birth control mandate of the healthcare law. The decision means employees of those companies will have to obtain certain forms of birth control from other sources.
This decision comes just behind last week’s U.S. Supreme Court ruling striking down a Massachusetts law allowing abortion clinics to have a buffer zone keeping protesters at least 35 feet from entrances and walkways.
For several years there has been a law forbidding pro-life demonstrators from assembling on the sidewalk in front of Massachusetts abortion clinics, relegating protestors further away where they were far less effective.

"In order to put public opinion into our hands we must bring it into a state of bewilderment by giving expression from all sides to so many contradictory opinions and for such length of time as will suffice to make the [average person] lose their heads in the labyrinth and come to see that the best thing is to have no opinion of any kind, in matters political." [Protocol #5]
Hosts Jesse and Cody discuss Marvel Comics' announcement of a female Thor and female representation in media in general, and how more diverese depictions of women within culture could lead to better social conditions for women in general; the recent kerfuffle over American espionage against Germany, and various tech tactics that the NSA and GCHQ employ; the recent flare-up of Isreali-Palestinian violence; and the continued ideological struggle over the current border/immigration crisis invovling America, Mexico, and Central America.
Jews played a significant role in the slave trade in the United States. The Nation of Islam uncovered documents showing Jews built massive cotton marketing businesses, owning thousands of acres of plantations. Indeed, much of the slave-picked cotton produced in the Mississippi Delta region was marketed internationally by Jewish merchants. Indisputably, Blacks picked the cotton. Jews simultaneously established their dominance in the needle trades or textiles industry, the banking industry, as well as a significant—even if little known—role in the formation of labor unions, which allowed them to exercise control over jobs and contracts.
As a matter of fact, two great books detailing the Jewish involvement in slavery in the U.S., was written and published by the Nation of Islam, under the leadership of the Great Minister Louis Farrakhan. Per the FinalCall.com "Published in 1991, The Secret Relationship Between Blacks and Jews, Volume One, set off ideological tremors resulting in denunciations, and chaotic scrambles into the archives of Jewish historical literature by those hoping to debunk its claims. They were unsuccessful, and quietly, the assertions that Jews were merely co-sufferers or innocent bystanders in the trans-Atlantic slave trade have been silenced. The Nation of Islam's Historical Research Department has followed up with the highly anticipated Volume 2 in a series of scholarly volumes, this one under the subtitle How Jews Gained Control of the Black American Economy."

America can afford Medicare for all
Last week while performing my engineering duties on KPFT’s Thinkwing Radio with Mike Honig, a rather disturbing call came from a caller. The caller was not a bad person. The caller was not ill willed. The caller simply bought into the tenet that the mythical free market can solve all of America and the world’s problems.
I do not mind folks having different ideological beliefs in most segments of our economy. In fact it may even be a great experiment to show what works effectively.
Where these ideologies cause pain, financial distress, or deaths unnecessarily to our fellow human beings, to our fellow Americans, one should not leave it up to some unseen, unknown, or so far failed market.
When the caller implied that morality had no role in the implementation of healthcare, I was left flabbergasted. He seemed to be of the belief that somehow there was some intrinsic benevolence to our mythical free market.
There are grey areas in every debate. However there are areas where there are absolutes. Healthcare is one of the areas with absolutes. Those who want a complete mythical free market answer to healthcare have already been proven wrong. Americans need not have had to go through the past decades of wasteful medical spending and medical robbery. Simple arithmetic had the answer.
There is only one solution that makes mathematical sense. It is Medicare for all.
Welcome to the premier episode of “Thunderground Thursday” on the Enlightenment and Transformation channel.
In this segment Chief Yuya covers the precept of spiritual activism. The concept of spiritual activism compels the supposed spiritual worker, priest, or “conscious” individual to apply their higher awareness and handle on ancient wisdom to situations and ills that plague their own community.
Far too often, those who invest in the development of their minds neglect the development and cultivation of the physical communities that are needed to support their intellectual and ideological pursuits. Here Chief Yuya brings relevant issues and their solutions to the table for us all to implement in our conscious lives.

There is a single ideological current running through a seemingly disparate collection of noxious modern political and scientific movements, ranging from militarism, imperialism, racism, xenophobia, and radical environmentalism, to socialism, Nazism, and totalitarian communism. This is the ideology of antihumanism: the belief that the human race is a horde of vermin whose unconstrained aspirations and appetites endanger the natural order, and that tyrannical measures are necessary to constrain humanity. The founding prophet of modern anti-humanism is Thomas Malthus (1766-1834), who offered a pseudoscientific basis for the idea that human reproduction always outruns available resources. Following this pessimistic and inaccurate assessment of the capacity of human ingenuity to develop new resources, Malthus advocated oppressive policies that led to the starvation of millions in India and Ireland.
While Malthus’s argument that human population growth invariably leads to famine and poverty is plainly at odds with the historical evidence, which shows global living standards rising with population growth, it nonetheless persisted and even gained strength among intellectuals and political leaders in the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. Its most pernicious manifestation in recent decades has been the doctrine of population control, famously advocated by ecologist Paul Ehrlich, whose bestselling 1968 antihumanist tract The Population Bomb has served as the bible of neo-Malthusianism. In this book, Ehrlich warned of overpopulation and advocated that the American government adopt stringent population control measures, both domestically and for the Third World countries that received American foreign aid. (Ehrlich, it should be noted, is the mentor of and frequent collaborator with John Holdren, President Obama’s science advisor.)
