Sacred Sunday~Galathians, Chapter 3/Paul Fought The Law/The Law Lost

    in Christianity

    Paul Fought the Law

Paul is getting madder by the minute. He calls the Galatians "foolish" and starts in on a rhetorical tantrum. Haven't these guys seen that Jesus has been crucified? How do they think they got the Holy Spirit? Did they painstakingly read and follow the Torah or did they accept the truth of the gospel that Paul told them about? (Hint: it's the gospel.) The Galatians started out as people in the Spirit, but now they're worried about their physical bodies.  This makes no sense. Why would God pour his Spirit on them in the first place just to have them go back and start following the law? In Genisis, Abraham simply put his faith in God. God was cool with that and promised that everyone who believed in him would be blessed. This was way before the law, so obviously this proves that people don't need the law to get on God's good side. Basically, Paul is saying that the law is like a curse hanging over our heads. When Jesus died, he took that curse away. Now, we can just live for God and not worry about what we eat or if we're sacrificing a lamb the right way. It's kind of like when someone finalizes their will. That means it's set in stone and can't be changed. Same thing goes for God. God promised that Abraham's offspring would be cool with him if they had faith. The law came way after this: 430 years later to be exact. And the law can't change God's initial promise. And the Law Lost. Okay, so then what is the point of the law? Seriously, those Torah books are thick. Was God just wasting our time with all those laws about sacrificing goats and stuff? Here's Paul's answer: No, the law was kind of a placeholder until Jesus could come. And now he's here, so bacon bars for everyone! -Thanks to www.shmoop.com

The Law of Attraction-What is it and How Do I Use It, How Can It Benefit You!!

    in Entertainment

The law of attraction is the name given to the maxim "like attracts like" which in New Thought philosophy is used to sum up the idea that by focusing on positive or negative thoughts a person brings positive or negative experiences into their life.  Below are steps on how to use the Laws
1-Relax your mind. Meditate for 5 to 10 minutes. Doing this will increase brain power and have your mind at that relaxed state.
2-Be sure about what you want and when you do decide don't doubt yourself.

3-Ask the Universe for it. Make your request. Send a picture of what you want to the Universe.

4-Write your wish down. Start with "I am so happy and grateful now that

5-Feel it. Feel the way you will now after receiving your wish. You must act, speak, and think as if you are receiving it now
6-Show gratitude. Write down all the things the Universe has given you. Be thankful for what you already have and be thankful for all the things the Universe has given you.

7-Trust the Universe. Imagine an alternate dimension that is almost exactly like the real world but whatever you truly desire comes true in an instant. See yourself in that dimension, where whatever you ask the Universe for comes to you in an instant. Don't look for what you asked for; this is where people tend to mess up. If you have to keep an eye out for an event that manifests your wish, it's only telling the Universe you don't have it and you will attract...not having it. Be patient. Don't get upset if these things don't happen immediately.  Your host Jon Davis will discuss and
     share knowledge.

Whatever you feed your mind in the first 30 minutes of the day, will impact the spirit of your day. Saturate yourself with positive words that fuel your energy and ignite your spirit. in Legal

Many law students do not realize how broad juvenile law is and the wide array of practice areas it can encompass. It is not a traditional bar exam class, therefore students either elect to take a class that piqued their interest or they stumble upon it in their careers. Judge Anthony Capizzi joins this Quick Take Ohio to discuss how the Ohio State Bar Association's Juvenile Law Committee is visiting law schools in Ohio and connecting future attorneys to the field and updating them on critical issues facing youth and families.
