Welcome to Retro Unlim’s answer to those typical “morning zoo” radio shows without the bullying and hassling from those pesky up-tights at the FCC. This is The UnRadio Show! We are laid back and let our hair down on a show where we lack structure because structure is for pussies. This show is very tongue-in-cheek as your hosts Travis Goss, Michael Burhan, Craig Kellerman, Jeremy McDougall, Zack Noune and The Dame Courtney talk about the funniest, most outrageous news stories we can find, gripe about whatever is pissing us off and play the craziest music. If you are looking for a much more appealing alternative to those lame-ass FCC-governed radio shows and don’t mind the VERY low-brow humor, then check out The UnRadio Show.
Death is calling me (Suicide and Salvation)
Hopelessness. Depression. Pain. Fear. These emotions and others lie to us – they tell us that death will end our struggle. The truth is that if we keep living and fight back that our very best days are ahead of us. Stories of turn around and triumph encourages us to live.
Exploring the question; Are you good enough to become a best seller? Are you beautiful enough to succeed in Hollywood? Are you smart enough to get a good education? The question of enough is one of the big self doubts that keeps us lagging, and wondering if perhaps we should pursue something less challenging, or just different.
If one of those self doubts are part of your life, you may wish to contribute to this conversation, or just listen to words that may change some of your perspective.
here are some of the articles we will be exploring, Plus an article written by an acting coach called "Are you beautiful Enough? written by an acting coach, who inspired this show.
How fabulous to have my friend, Bass Master/Composer/Teacher/Clinician/Mentor Christian de Mesones return to "Hybrid Jazz!" In previous visits, Christian and yours truly would discuss upcoming scenarios for Groove Skool, a group that has earned wide respect for several years. But our guest has NEVER been the kind of artist to let the grass grow under his Big New Yawk feet ;) He has plans for shows and projects - and thoughts to share!
This charismatic individual has been playing bass for over 30 years. At 18, he graduated from what is now known as The Musician's Institute in Hollywood, California. There, he had the opportunity to study with Abe Laboriel, Steve Morse, Pat Metheny, and Ray Brown - among others! By request from a famous faculty member (a guest of the school), Christian performed an original for graduation. And made Pat Martino extremely happy!
Thereafter, Christian served as superlative bass man for a number of groups - in Hawaii, Virginia and New York (of course!) In the mid-80's, he was a key member of "Twice Shy" - out of The Big Apple. Heavy Metal. Oh, yes, this man is known to be HYBRID, Baby! Multiple genres. A move to the South put him in the spotlight with Hip Hop and R & B acts - and he was the bassist for the popular "Big Patt and Legion" in Richmond - they were known for drawing exceptionally large crowds.
When Christian made the move to Northern Virginia, things came to a delightful musical boil: he was teaching, getting involved with students (ask him about his "Bass Symphony!") and creating the vibe for Groove Skool. Now, a BIG show for Big New York looms - the reason for his visit - and we hear that there's another recording in the future! Let's put it to you this way: his visits are never boring. LOL! Join us on 7/24 - in The Chat Room!

“Smooth’,” Sultry”, “Anointed” ,”smart Lyricist”, these are a few words that you hear when describing Tre Alexandria. This new artist is poignant for a time as this. With her placements, lyrics, and sultry voice, she is quickly becoming a necessity in the music industry. Since age 3, Tre Alexandria has sat under the tutelage of Mattie Moss-Clark, Timothy Wright, James Moore, etc. She has been behind the scenes honing her skill as a writer and an artist.
Tre Alexandria is a faithful worship leader in her church and sings with the Stellar nominated choir, Dale Ciceron and Optimistic for Christ. Tre Alexandria writes for artists across genres . She works with KmusicDDWMusicGroup as a team writer and vocal producer. Although originally from Upstate NY, Tre Alexandria moved to New Jersey in 2004. In her music, you can hear influences by Mahalia Jackson, the Clark Sisters, CeCe Winans, etc. She describes her music as spiritually sound, sweet, heart-felt and convicting. “My music is simply My Heart’s Melody”. “I’m the painter, I hold the brush. I paint the picture I want you to feel through lyrics, harmonies and melodies”.
Tre Alexandria believes that sometimes you have to create what’s needed and not what’s popular. People are longing for something and looking for it in so many places, but the right place. It is her responsibility to remind them that God is there and he holds their heart in His hands.
