    True Humility in Consciousness

Humility & Pride with Minister Henry

    in Christianity

Join Minister Damian Henry every Monday morning @ 10am eastern standard time for bible study. We'll be focusing on the study of Humility and Pride. In short, true humility requires an accurate understanding of who God is and who we are. Pride, on the other hand, obscures a true knowledge of God. C.S. Lewis said it well: “In God you come up against something which is in every respect immeasurably superior to yourself. Unless you know God as that — and, therefore, know yourself as nothing in comparison — you do not know God at all. As long as you are proud, you cannot know God. A proud man is always looking down on things and people: and, of course, as long as you are looking down, you cannot see something that is above you.”

This lesson will uplift and encourage you to stay humble before the true and living God, in your daily walk in Christ. Tune in by calling 714-868-0763, or click the link  on the facebook/twitter pages.

    in Prayer

Pride is a universal human problem. Everyone suffers from it to some degree. When we have exalted ourselves in pride, God does not want to punish us and bring us low but to forgive and restore us. His words are always "humble yourselves and I will exalt you." This gives us hope and encouragement. God does take pleasure in our efforts to humble ourselves, and He loves to bless and exalt the humble. Someone said, "Just as pride is the root of all sin, so "humility is the root, mother, nurse, foundation and bond of all virtue." Join us for live prayer at 6:00 AM Mon.-Fri. Dial 714 459-3963.

Humility as a weapon of warfare

    in Christianity

How can humility be a weapon of warfare?

The bible tells us in Philippians 2:5-8

Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men.  Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.

The Lord's obedience and humility  brought salvation and everlasting life to all mankind. He conquered satan, death, hell and the grave because He humbled Himself. We, as believers, will also have victory when we humble ourselves and take up our cross.

Please join us for the study of God's word.

    Other Example Readings of Humility

    in Entertainment

I will be reading some Native American Readings and or Prayers. To see what if any similarity to the Biblical idea of Humility.

Is it even important or neccessary to carry this trait in today's society? Does modern society show any humble attritbutes?

What do I think of humility and being humble.

No I think  people are prouder than ever, and will continue to become prouder than ever. It is just the going trend. Faithful? for instance, what does that mean? Nothing really. So we are then an arrogant and faithless modern American society. Oh, am I being to harsh? Tell me so at :

    in Spirituality

How can the practice of Humility set you free?  Jason Gregory explores insights from his recent book The Science and Practice of Humility: The Path to Ultimate Freedom.

We are each capable of shifting from the aggressive "path of the warrior" to the humble "path of the sage".   From Krishna and Lao-tzu to Buddha and Jesus, each enlightened master discovered and revealed how being receptive to all experience was the key to becoming one with the Universe and its spontaneous patterns of order and chaos.

Jason Gregory is a spiritual philosopher, independent scholar, writer and teacher specializing in the fields of Eastern and Western philosophy, comparative religion, metaphysics and ancient cultures.  An ardent traveler, for several years, Jason studied with masters in Buddhism, Gnosticism, Hermeticism, Hinduism and Taoism.

TEACH IT! PREACH IT! Humility part tw0 with Barbara Royer

    in Christianity

Bethel Life International Fellowship in conjunction with Bethel Life School of Biblical Studies is pleased to present our newest addition to the BLIF Network programming schedule, “TEACH IT!, PREACH IT!.”

The objective of this program is to provide a platform for the students of BLSBS to share the Word of God with the world and the Christian Community at large.  It is unfortunate that untold numbers of up and coming preachers and teachers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ are lanquishing in the pews of our churches instead of flourishing in the pulpits and classrooms.

God has given us the vision to use the resourses He has provided to afford our students with a venue to sharpen their skills and gain experience.

Each week you will be able to tune in and hear the Word being present by eager men and women called by God through Jesus Christ to minister to His people.  We appreciate your continued support as we strive to bring you quality, Scriptured based programming.

If you would like to leave questions, comments, or words of encouragement, please forward them to our email address: network@bethellifeif.org

This week we present Barbara Royer of Waterloo, Qc with her message entitled “Humility, part two”.

Humility and Respect - ANU Asafo

    in Spirituality

Join KM at 3pm EST for this episode of ANU Asafo where she will be reviewing another transformative lesson from Chief Jegna HRU Yuya Assaan ANU.  The subject for this segment will be humility and respect.  What may be seen as normal behavior in Western culture can be very disrespectful in others.  We will also discuss an article that illustrates the cultural differences.  To access that article, click this link: https://northoflagos.wordpress.com/2011/02/17/meeting-with-a-king-the-alaafin-of-oyo/

The ANU spiritual Order is a way of learning that allows the student to place themselves at the center of the learning experiences as opposed to memorizing rituals, names, and protocol that serve little when it comes down to reality reconstruction.

This class series is a hardcore spiritual initiation into the deeper truths of indigenous metaphysics and natural power. For classes, readings, and events with the Sadulu House please go to Saduluhouse.com.
