TS Radio: Deborah Goodman/ NY Judge should not be on the bench

    in Current Events

Hosted by Marti Oakley & Debbie Dahmer

Join us this evening as we take a look at another judge in New York that has turned his courtroom into chaos as he forgets his own rulings or even what case he is working on.  Guess who pays the price for that?

Deborah Goodman has been subject to the bizarre behavior of Judge Victor J. Alfieri Jr., for more than five years with no relief in sight.

"For his own Standards and Goals he repeatedly removed my case from the court calendar causing motions to be submitted in order to restore my case, which caused unnecessary legal expenses. On December 20, 2013 Honorable Judge Alfieri made a final decision to close my case because he did not like that the case was three years old. His only concern was my case bringing attention from those above him. He said, on the record:

“Now without prejudice to either side, I am going to deny that motion. And I’ll tell you why. I’m going to deny it mostly because of a housekeeping detail. The case is three years old, which will bring note of people above me, as I’m only here by virtue of someone’s signature on an order. I’d like to stay. So I’m going to deny the motion to restore it to the calendar; however, I’m going to do that 30 days from today.”

This was just one of numerous rulings issued by a judge who should not be on the bench.  Unfortunately, its all too common in probate and family courts across the country.

She is also an experienced wildlife rescuer and has helped hundreds of stranded seals, sea lions, otters, and other marine mammals off the coast of California.

    For Immediate Release:

PETA President Ingrid Newkirk released the following statement in response to reports that Ringling Bros. plans to retire the performing elephants in May: 18 months earlier than announced. Years of living in shackles, held immobile on concrete floors, has left many elephants lame and sick.

WH&B Radio: Jonathan Ratner of Western Watersheds Project

    in Environment

Our guest is JONATHAN RATNER, Western Watersheds Project’s Director for Wyoming, Utah and Colorado.  Jonathan joined WWP after a stint with the Forest Service in which he documented severe degradation caused by livestock grazing.  When his reports were consigned to the ‘round file’ by the Forest Service, he sought out assistance from various area conservation organizations to deal with the problems, all of which declined to help.  In his search for assistance farther afield he came across Western Watersheds Project and shortly thereafter started WWP’s Wyoming Office.

Jonathan will talk about public lands ranching, the most widespread commercial use of public lands in the United States.  Ranching is one of the primary causes of native species endangerment in the American West; it is also the most significant cause of non-point source water pollution and desertification.

Tonight's show is hosted by Debbie Coffey, V.P. and Dir. of Wild Horse Affairs for Wild Horse Freedom Federation.

    in Pets

    Hosted by Debbie Dahmer

Guest will be: Robert Margolin- Animal Rights Activist, Screenwritter, Martial Arts Grandmaster, Fitness and Health Guru

Robert's first real job was working at a Chuck Norris karate studio. Robert's also started writing Martial Arts movies and was in talks to star in one of those movies while training for his fighting debut. Robert was a passenger in a fatal freeway accident that broke his back and left him in a body brace for 2 years. He lost 80 lbs. of lean muscle and at 6 ft. tall Robert was down to 115 lbs. and felt weaker than a newborn kitten. Seven doctors told him he would never be able to do Martial Arts again.

Finally, Robert's family helped to load him into the car and took me to see Franco Columbu. He cut him out of the body brace and together they started rebuilding his back. The first deadlift he did was measured in inches and ounces. Robert eventually worked up to over 400 lbs. Robert did preacher curls with Hulk Hogan, bench presses with Jake (Body By Jake), and Carl Weathers showed his favorite exercises. Robert's healing journey had begun! His Vegan lifestyle has made him healthier and help others to do the same. Robert educating and spreading awareness throughout.. Four major wild horse & burro advocacy groups and advocates are uniting to speak out against Bureau of Land Management (BLM) plans for cruel sterilization experiments on wild mares (including pregnant mares).  The BLM extended the Environmental Assessment comment period, because AWHPC asked for and received additional documents that the BLM had not made available to the public,

Paula Todd King, Communications Director, The Cloud Foundation

Karen Sussman, Pres. of International Society for the Protection of Mustangs and Burros (ISPMB)

Carol Walker, Dir. of Field Documentation for Wild Horse Freedom Federation

Best-selling author Terri Farley (Wild at Heart: Mustangs and the Young People Fighting to Save Them)

BLM heinous plans are to STERILIZE wild  horses, (experimentation trials) using several methods on 225 wild mares: ovariectomy via colpotomy, tubal ligation, and hysteroscopically-guided laser ablation of the oviduct papilla.  Experimentation at BLM's Wild Horse Corral Facility in Hines, Oregon, but will eventually do sterilizations out in the FIELD.
