Understanding and Deflecting the Anger of Others

    in Spirituality

Join Sharon Rainbow Eagle Bar-Or and Jim Graywolf - Eaglewolf - on Healing Mirror Holders Radio for a powerful webcast on Sunday, May 24th at 1 PM MST, 3 PM EST, 8 PM London and 10 PM Israel time.

Jim and Sharon will be talking about the waves of anger some people are feeling directed at them - even coming from those close to them. Many people have been posting and speaking about this in the virtual realm of late. Why so much of this now?

On Facebook, for example, some people have been lashing at - at ideas and other people. We have seen this personally, as have others. Then they go into a rage and block a few and begin to speak negatively. Or just begin being abusive. Sad to watch and feel. So what can we do? We will share some ideas and solicit yours.

We don’t want the anger of others to infect us now in this time of change. We will focus on ways to understand the reasons for this anger and how to avoid it triggering us.

The talking stick is now YOURS! Come join us and share your thoughts - or decide to just listen. Hit the link below just before show time.

No Longer Be Overcome by Anger

    in Motivation

I did not know what I wanted to talked about, but anger has been something that God has been placing on my heart. I used to struggle with anger and I thank God for how far he has brought me in controlling this emotion.

Many of us were taught not to get angry or to "just get over it". Because of this we have been walking around with a lot of bottled up anger waiting to explode. We end up being easily angered by anything and regret things later on. At times we make decisions that are sometimes life changing due to our lack of control with anger. Even those close to us who have our best interest end up feeling the repercussions of our anger.

Other times we feel it is easier to express anger rather than sadness and hurt. We see being vulnerable as something foreign or terrifying. Perhaps we have been vulnerable in the past with the wrong people and we were taken advantage of. Or we were in a vulnerable position and someone used their control and power over us. Now we build walls that no one dare break down without facing our wrath.

Anger is a natural emotion and it is not a bad thing, but we need to submit all our emotions to God. He will give us the power to overcome and not be overcome by our anger.

Ephesians 4: 26-27 "Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil."

Proverbs 15:1 "A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger."

Proverbs 16:32 "He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city."

    What Triggers Our Anger?

    in Prayer

Anger has been described as being a, "Misunderstood Emotion" in which many of us have never learned to handle. Anger seems to rule us, push us around, and make us do and say things that we later regret.  Yet truly believing this puts us at the mercy of any and all external factors, robbing us of freedom by being enslaved by people and circumstances that are completely out of our control.

Listen to the show as we discuss how we can break the anger habit!
