4-13-15 SPECIAL GUEST: Logan Mohtashami with a 2015 Housing Market Update

    in Finance

This past week, Vice President Joe Biden and Julián Castro, Secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development were out promoting homeownership for low income families and encouraging lenders to loosen credit standards.  After watching David Lykken appeared as a guest on FOX Business discussing this topic ( http://video.foxbusiness.com/v/4159595330001 ), many mortgage lenders wrote him saying they are FOR the loosening credit standards.  David asked and we will be discussing, "Wasn't it the loosening of credit standards that got us into the last housing crisis and resulted in the U.S. getting into the 'Great Reccession'?"

To put this all in perspective, Logan Mohtashami will be returning to the broadcast sharing his thoughts on this important topic.  You can read his latest blog on this topic at http://loganmohtashami.com/ (Logan Mohtashami | Financial Truth ).  He has recently been challenging the assumptions and assertions of many housing experts.  Tune in to today's broadcast to hear Logan's latest housing market predictions, things you won't hear from other housing experts.

Created BY mortgage professional FOR mortgage professionals, Lykken on Lending is a weekly 60-minute radio program hosted by mortgage veteran, David Lykken and joined by Alice Alvey, Andy Schell, Joe Farr, Paul Muolo and Sam Garcia all discussing the latest industry news.

How to learn to trust the ONE who made you emotional when you can’t trust your own emotions

Understanding how to journey in peace through the frequent occurrence of being judged by others.

What to do when others don’t agree with the process or become impatient with your progress.

The Female Solution: How Do You Cope When Your Spouse Is A War Veteran?

    in Religion

RTW Veteran Center offers a home, food, and a family atmosphere to homeless veterans who have returned from war only to find that the family they had can no longer cope with them and the country they risked their lives to defend has forgotten them. Today we're working together to give special support to RTW - which stands for Remaking The World. So many famlies are in crisis, suffering the effects of the military veterans have come home still suffering from the Post Traumatic Stress Disorder of combat, and having nowhere to turn for counseling. How do you cope when your spouse is a war veteran? Could a sudden flashback cause them to pick up a weapon and do you bodily harm? Female veterans are suffering even greater issues, many having been survivors of rape by their fellow officers, and not able to report the incidences or seek justice, are still living with the trauma after they have returned home. Dr. Daniel Habeel and Arnetha Habeel discuss their struggle to provide a home and a place of healing for service men and women. Other guests join us to tell their shocking stories. We urge you to lend a helping hand today, by going to www.rtwvetcenter.org and hit "Donate"!

Guest: Molli Sullivan, a transformation coach and SoulCycle instructor

    in Relationships

From Molli: Have you ever wondered why you’re here, what your purpose is, and where you’re going next? Ya know, the big, existential, down-the-rabbit-hole kinda questions that can be scary as hell?

My mom says I’ve been asking those question since I was 5 years old (yes, I know, an existential crisis at 5 — don’t worry, I’ve had about 3 more since then, we’ll get to those later).

Whether you were a spiritually inquisitive 5 year old, or are 30 and have yet to ask, living our most awesome lives begins when we start getting curious. What is our purpose? What brings us joy? How can we access it and share more of it?

We all have unique gifts and talents, and I believe they’re designed for two things:

    1. To bring us joy and fulfillment
    2. To positively impact the world around us

Whether you’re a nurse or a teacher; a florist or baker; an animal shelter owner or an artist, each of us have qualities and talents, and the way in which we access and share them is unique to our personality.

From my dancing career to launching a magazine to sharing my passion for wellness with family, friends and colleagues, my gifts have taken many forms over the years. As we evolve, so do our opportunities — but first, we need to check in with ourselves.

    What comes naturally?
    What brings you joy?
    What makes you feel alive?
What’s something you’ve always wanted to try but have perhaps felt too scared to do it?
If money wasn’t an issue, what would you spend your time doing?

Asking the above is the first step in helping the answers bubble up to the surface  — then it’s ALL ABOUT THE ACTION!
