Trying to Lose Weight, but Stymied? Thyroid Could Be the Culprit

    in Weight Loss

Dr Gil Kajiki is the founder of the Valley Thyroid Institute. He graduated from the Pasadena College of Chiropractic and has been a chiropractor for 30 years. The main focus of his practice is thyroid and Auto Immune conditions.

Through working with his patients he developed the Kajiki Protocol for determining thyroid and autoimmune issues with a particular concentration on Hashimoto's Thyroiditis. He offers his patients answers and protocols to improve thyroid function and overall health.

With his roots in chiropractic-biophysics, Dr. Kajiki was busy helping patients in the San Fernando Valley in Southern California with their spinal structural corrective care when his wife became ill with what at first appeared to be Epstein Barr.

As he watched his wife’s health deteriorate under the care of several doctors, Dr. Kajiki began a relentless search for answers to why his healthy wife could become so ill and yet no one seemed to know how to care for her. After more than two years of tests, medication, B12 shots, and finally hospitalization, it was her husband and not her medical provider who came to her rescue.

After countless hours of study, consultation with colleagues, and testing, Dr. Kajiki diagnosed his wife with Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis, an autoimmune condition that attacks the thyroid. He spent the next several months treating her autoimmune condition through natural supplements, lifestyle modifications, and dietary changes. She is now symptom free and doesn’t take any thyroid medication.

Insurance Denial: Adolescent Psychiatric Inpatient Hospitalization

. Eight million of our this countries children – about 12 percent of America’s nearly 67 million citizens under the age of 18 – suffer from emotional or other mental health problems that warrant treatment. Fortunately, most of these children can be treated by a qualified professional on an outpatient basis. However, for a significant number of children, inpatient treatment may be necessary.

In recent years, there have been numerous tragedies involving individuals with mental illness, including the Sandy Hook murders of 20 students and six educators, the University of California shooting, the Virginia Tech Shooting, among others, as well as countless suicides and similar tragedies.

Help is available for those suffering from mental illness. There are therapists, medications, support groups, and for those in crisis, inpatient hospitalization. However, insurance companies have the ability to deny coverage for any and all of these options. What impact does this have on those with mental illness?

An NYPCRadio Happy New Year to All! With Virginia and Amanda Moral

    in Entertainment

This program is thank you to all of my listeners, guests, Project Bridge Contributors and all of the Stand for Amanda Fund team members.  It also, outlines Amanda Angelica Moral's Christmas Miracle. Amanda suffers from Status Epilepticus.  For over a year we have been raising funds to meet a $107,000 funding goal for a special surgery that can only be done outside of the United States in Santo Domingo. The fund was at only a $20,000+ mark when suddenly a miracle happened and a group of anonymous persons decided to pay for the balance of the expenses for the surgery.  It was a miracle!  Virginia and Amanda came on to thank her team of angels.  It's not over though, we still need to raise an additional $13,000 for hospitalization, air travel to Santo Domingo, a ten day hotel stay and shuttling her from hospital to hotel and back among some of the expenses.  Visit Virginia Moral's Blog at http://www.VirginiaMoralAuthor.Blogspot.Com for precise instructions on how to donate just $1 (USD).  We rang in the New Year together Virginia, Amanda and I and all I can say is Praise be to God.  May God bless and prosper you and your family this New Year.  LIKE and Join the NYPCRadio pages below:

    Hard Starboard Radio: Time's Up

    in Politics Conservative

Dear old Dad has gone as far as he can go in post-hospitalization rehab, and I have no idea if that's far enough for assisted living or if he has to go into a nursing home.  Needless to say, I'm a bit distracted, and will be tomorrow as well until I know what's going on.  And if it's the latter, that will introduce additional time-consuming distractions.

So the Wayback Machine comes out for the next two days, and maybe beyond.

    Eli's Story

    in Hobbies

This isn't a standard episode of Trivial Warfare. As a local business I sponsored an event in August called Black Tie for Eli. Eli Watterson was an adorable 4 year old boy who became sick in 2014 and spent the last year living in hospitals. His parents had it very tough. His mom had to quit her job as a teacher to stay with him in the hospitals and eventually he was moved up to Duke Medical Center hundreds of miles from home.

During his hospitalization the family struggled through multiple near death situations and were doing everything they could to keep him alive. I recorded this interview with his father Jerry a couple of weeks before the big fundraising event to help them with some of their expenses and medical bills. It's a deep interview, we talk about Eli's experience and Jerry's experience as his father. We don't hold anything back.

Eli passed away the week after we recorded this. It was a very sad moment and one that still makes me tear up. You can hear it in the interview, we really did have hope. We thought the miraculous was going to happen and Eli was going to make it.

Rather than chop the interview up and play snips of it during my shows leading up to the event I decided to release this full version as is out of respect for my audience so that I didn't lead them on with snippets to draw them in after I knew the final outcome.
