    in Motivation

    Mission Statement

To provide hope and healing to victims and survivors of crime through advocacy and the support of resources, information, and empowerment from the critical time after a crime occurs through the challenges and successes of surviving and thriving.

    Values

We believe that no one should feel abandoned or alone and that every person is deserving of love, respect and dignity.
We believe that the best way to help others with hope and healing is to work in partnership with our community, law enforcement, elected leaders, and members of the media.
We believe that all of us together can lift each other out of darkness and into the light of a restored heart and life.
We believe that every broken heart, every hurt, every wound can be healed with love and a strong community of support.
    We believe in hopeful healing.
We believe that with faith, there is always hope.

    The Porch - Hopeful Endurance

    in Spirituality

From the moment you begin the life's journey of The Cross you do so with hopeful endurance.

Getting back to basics by examining the Word of God and, especially, the Book of Acts Church, The Porch Online Bible Study is taking a deeper look into how the early church served the Lord.

Our desire is to find and restore the priesthood of the Believer and the world shaking influence the Early Church had. By delving deeper into scripture we will find the Church the Lord intended and not the one man created.

The Church Age is not over and therefore what took place in the Upper Room is as much for now as it was on the Day of Pentecost. If you know that there is more to your spiritual walk with Yeshua/Jesus and you want more then you are welcome to join us on this journey as we get back to basics!

The Porch is an outreach of Solomon's Porch Inc. http://www.onsolomonsporch.org.  If you have any questions please visit the site and use the comment button.

Tonight we are going to spend a few minutes on what this all means. I hope to leave you encouraged about the future however bleak it seems today.

San Francisco-based singer / songwriter Pete Kronowitt has released a video performance for his new politically charged song, "Change is Gonna Come," recorded live from the Cafe du Soleil in Lower Haight. The hopeful anthem was inspired both by the legends of American folk, as well as today's struggle for justice and equity. Pete co-wrote the song with Atlanta-based Chuck McDowell at a recent songwriting retreat in Crisfield, Maryland.

I will be sitting down with Pete to discuss this new song and music in general
