    Interview with Don Minenger

    in Motivation

Don Minenger started out in modeling when he was 27 years old but after dealing with some disappointments and frustrating circumstances he decided to give it up. He gave up on the whole industry and decided to concentrate on raising his kids. It was not until June 2011 that an agency reached out to him and offered to help him get back into the industry, he was very hesitant to accept and told them he would call them back. He spent two weeks thinking about it, he decided to sign with them for six months and they told him that if they could not find any work for him within those six months that they could dissolve the contract. He waited and nothing came through and it made him depressed and he told himself that this is not for me. He received a call from a lady named Theresa that was producing an off-Broadway show in New York City. He landed the role and went on to work with her from 2011 to present in four of her productions. He also did another off-Broadway play with another very talented producer and writer named Nisi Newsom. Then he was discovered by an upcoming film director by the name of Nevaughn Brown. In between him doing plays back in 2012, he worked with Mr. Brown on a film called (Love Like This) and is currently working with him on some other projects. They are also in partnership with a magazine called (The Everyday Girl Magazine). He is currently writing a sitcom called (The Family) and also working on writing his first off-Broadway play called (Am I My Brothers’ Keeper). He is also looking to do some workshops for children that want to learn about the business the right way.

French on Friday are a group of musicians with different backgrounds, united by their love of quality pop music. Looking back on and up to the great piano-playing songwriters of the past decades, Elisabeth Kaplan (lyrics) and Nikolaus Newerkla (music) strive to create songs with strong melodies and staying power, songs that capture the imagination, songs that are somehow familiar yet surprising. And Angelika Huemer (viol, recorders), Philipp Comploi (basse de violon) and Jakob Sigl (drums) round off the unmistakeable, almost orchestral sound of French On Friday.
