My Favorite Holiday! Barbershop Quartet Day!

    in Entertainment

Welcome back to our Dancing Monday! Though the Tell A Lie broadcast last Monday may have been a flop, we still got to groove to some music. Today you will dance to better music. I would LOVE to tell you why.

It is - Barbershop Quartet Day! YAY! I play only one group, because I currently own only one CD of a Barbershop Quartet. No, no; I'm not going to tell you who they are, not just yet. Be sure to put on your tap-dancing shoes on, though. You are going to snap your fingers off, and possibly dance!

Jessica Pohly Star of Pee-Wee's Big Holiday on Netflix

    in Entertainment

The Total Tutor Neil Haley will interview Jessica Pohly Star of Pee-Wee's Big Holiday on Netflix.

From comedy to drama, working in film and television, and having extensive roots in theater, Jessica Pohly is a fresh new face in the entrainment industry today, having positioned herself as “one to watch" this year. In 2016 Jessica can be seen in her most notable role to date, costarring opposite Paul Reubens and Joe Manganiello in “Pee-Wee’s Big Holiday,” slated for premiere on Netflix in March. Jessica shines as Pepper, head of an all-girls gang of bank robbers who doesn't take crap from anyone, including Pee-Wee. Born and raised in New York City, Jessica attended a liberal arts college and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Art History. During college she spent her summers studying at The Atlantic Theater Acting School in New York City, where she began her formal training in acting. Upon graduation Jessica toured for a year with a Shakespeare Company and then studied Corporeal Mime in Paris. When she returned to NYC after spending some time in the City of Lights, Jessica worked with dozens of new writers, creating characters at downtown venues from The Flea Theater, to PS 122, to 59 East 59. Her work in film and television kickstarted however, when she moved to Los Angeles. Once arriving in LA, Jessica booked a handful of television guest-star roles right off the bat. Her TV credits include: “Stalker,” “Rake,” “Modern Family,” “Super Fun Night,” “Bella and the Bulldogs,” and “Welcome to the Family.” In 2015, Jessica got back to her theater roots in LA and won The Ezra Buzzington Spirit of the Fringe Award for female performance for her work in Jason & (Medea). In 2015 Jessica also landed her co-starring role in “Pee-Wee’s Big Holiday,” her biggest role to date.

Spiritual Wickedness High Places/Dr Pat Holiday/Dr Sabrina Session/Marshal Perot

    in Religion

    Spiritual Wickedness High Places

Jesus describes the end times that the Christian Church will look like a great spiritual battleground filled with spiritual casualties. These casualties include three categories: 1) dead;  2) wounded; and 3) missing or captured. In general terms, casualties of Civil War battles included 20% dead and 80% wounded. Of the soldiers who were wounded, about one out of seven died from his wounds. More than 2/3 of the 622,000 men who gave their lives in the Civil War died from disease and not from battle. I declare to you that now, millions of Christians have been "wounded in action," and untold numbers of those who have died in action; blood carnage is everywhere. Christians are getting spiritually and physically sick from the influence of spiritually blinded ministers. Religious devils will take you to Hell or destroy your mind and physical body, even bring death. Also, they will destroy your character and drive you into the most destructible behavior. Many Church leaders have fallen into the divorce, homosexuality, molestation, drug abuse, wife abuse, and every abomination imaginable. My advice, throw away those perverted Bibles and get a King James Version if you can find one! Get out of the Disney World; Better Homes and Gardens; New Age Christianity and repent and return to Jesus. Find a full gospel, Bible based church, filled with compassion for souls that is Jesus centered.

This week Bob Carson and Chris Driscoll will discuss the May Day celebrations that took place around the globe… and Bob will report back on the New York City May Day march he attended. May Day has been the international workers’ holiday for more than a century. While it was first established in the United States, not until recently has the day been celebrated widely here. But that is changing as more American workers begin to embrace their class traditions and heritage.
