Yesterday I just performed the second episode of "The Year of the Godfather" at the Comedy Cellar. Today I break it down and why I had some problems with it and what the plans are for the next installment. I talk about the conspiracy against the Greek Orthodox church burnings this Easter and what it could possibly have to do with the movie "This is Spinal Tap" AND then I go into detail on why Garry Marshall's big hollywood "calendar" movies are the absolute worst and why Richard Curtis has done it better. Yeah, I'm pretty angry this week so I'm taking it out on everyone. It's an all new podcast.
Paying too much for your meats at the grocery store? Paying too much for movie tickets for you and your family? Does your holiday spending included a bill for hundreds of dollars in gift cards? What if you didn't have to spend a horde of money for your meat, or for your movie tickets, or for your gift cards? What if there was a membership that helped you save money on things you already do and paid you instead to help others save money on them also?
Well, you're in luck. 3 AWESOME opportunities are about to be launched to help you save money on your meat for your family, save money on your gift card purchases, and save you money on your movie tickets, and you'll be rewarded with extra cash to do all three. Listen to our show and find out how you can benefit from getting involved at the beginning of these opportunities.
Join us, Monday May 2, 2016, at 9 pm Eastern, for Carson’s Corner with the Election Boycott Advocates. This week Bob Carson and Chris Driscoll will discuss the May Day celebrations that took place around the globe… and Bob will report back on the New York City May Day march he attended. May Day has been the international workers’ holiday for more than a century. While it was first established in the United States, not until recently has the day been celebrated widely here. But that is changing as more American workers begin to embrace their class traditions and heritage.

All across the most powerful country in the world, men, women and children will give the most endearing honor to their Mothers on Mother’s Day. Mothers may be honored with various festivities including: greeting cards, flowers, gifts, lavish meals, money and more. Above all mothers will be honored with devoted attention. And just as with most holidays, these practices take place without serious consideration as to why. Why is Mother’s Day celebrated? Why is Mother’s Day not mentioned in the Holy Scriptures? Is Mother’s Day a new holiday or is it rooted in ancient practices?

Yes sir, folks...what a cacophany of news politics and religion!!!. A "new and improved" Donald Trump has emerged thanks to Paul Manafort...for one day!!! It is hard to keep a "good man" down, as Manafort is learning. You can only control just so much of "the Donald." ...And how about Cruz, trying to steal the limelight, by naming Fiorina as his V.P. running mate before he even gets the election. Bernie and Hillary are still "duking" it out...Or is Bernie looking for a "way out?" Let us not forget that the Passover holiday has just ended, and Dr. Marc has a few things to say about that. Call uswith your comments at 516-336-8510 and bring your coffee.
Friends hatch a plot to retrieve a stolen kitten by posing as drug dealers for a street gang.
THE BUZZ: Who doesn't love watching a cat video on the internet? But stretching out the idea into a 100-minute comedy seems like a risky prospect no matter who you are.
Three generations come together in the week leading up to Mother's Day.
THE BUZZ: Garry Marshall is back with another ensemble holiday movie. It's a subgenre that tends to alienate everyone but its core audience though this particular one, which features a nearly all white cast and Julia Roberts in a memorable wig, will probably become a perennial at-home favorite.
I don't form expectations about the frequency of guest-hosting gigs, because that's not my call, and I am simply honored and grateful to be the Director's understudy. But if you'd told me after sitting in three out of four weeks during the 2013 "holiday season" that I wouldn't see the Pistachio's center seat again for almost a year, especially given the host's frantic schedule, I'd have started shopping for a different deodorant. But then I hadn't heard of G.R. Mobley yet. Blessedly, that was only a temporary displacement.
Yes, I know, "what about two weeks ago"? Answer: It was the odd one out. Besides, it ought to still be fresh in your corpus callosums.
