Hoaxes happen, far more often than you might think, and people buy into them more often than that which is healthy. Tonight we cover some of them, with the goal of reminding folks that while having an open mind is a good thing, it shouldn't be so open that your brains fall out.
It all started by me telling Slider that WD-40 was mostly fish oil. Boy, was I wrong! From there, this show developed. What urban legends have we heard about that we thought were true but actually weren't became the topic of this show. Join us this Thursday, April 16th at 5:00 PM Eastern, 4:00 PM Central and 10:00 PM UK to find out if what you thought was true is really false!
Take a humorous journey with us as we explore the history behind April Fool's day and some of the world's funniest hoaxes.
April's Fools day is also known as All Fool's Day and the victims of hoaxes are are called April Fools. There ar roots of All Fool's Day going back to the middle ages. Growing up Kally's grandmother and mother were notorious for their practical jokes.
Some of the first references to April Fool's Day can be found in the works of Chaucer from the 1300's.
We think a day of jokes and laughter is an awesome reminder that we all need humor in our lives. Laughter is a wonderful healing tool and play time is essential to our well being.
