Writers Tricks of the Trade - Who is your ideal first reader? - Episode 16

    in Writing

    WHO SHOULD YOU ASK

     TO READ YOUR MANUSCRIPT?

Feedback from “first readers” is extremely helpful. They generally aren’t professional editors. Some may be published writers and it is good for the group of first readers to also include readers who are not writers.

Like most things that involve someone’s opinion, however, there is a hitch. Morgan St. James, Dennis N. Griffin and Eric James Miller will delve into things that make an ideal first reader...and it isn't your Aunt Agatha who thinks everything you write is a masterpiece. What do you need to consider?

The group has also received the honor of joining the musical talents like Garth Brooks, Darius Rucker, and Tracey Lawrence on the artist roster for Operation Troop Aid, a national non-profit organization offering assistance to America’s armed forces.
An active member of the country music scene, Diamond Hitch has also won musical showcases like the iShowcase Musical Event put on by King Ryan Events, Inc., at Hard Rock Café in Nashville, TN.   These guys are a group that just makes country music fun and you don’t want to miss a chance to see these guys live!! Their shows are packed with energy and their charisma on stage will ignite you into their world where you show up and Diamond Hitch brings the excitement!!

THE ROAD HAWGS RADIO NETWORK - CLASSIC CHROME / COMING HOME FOR THE  110th. STURGIS TO MILWAUKEE

Special Guests: Patrick Simmons, Musician, Collector, Vintage Bike Enthusias Cris Sommer Simmons, Author, Motor Maid, Vintage Bike Enthusiast

Many folks find it hard to take the time to really hit the road on their motorcycles. Work schedules and family obligations often get in the way. But what do you do if you find yourself touring with one of the biggest rock and roll bands in the world throughout most of the year, or writing award-winning books, and you need a motorcycle fix? This week, we are joined by friends of the program, Cannonball finishers, and serious motorcycle junkies Pat and Cris Simmons. When Pat isn’t hard at work touring with The Doobie Brothers and Cris finds herself a free moment from writing bestselling books, the two of them are on the lookout for their next motorcycle adventure. In 2013, the couple decided to celebrate the 110th Anniversary of Harley Davidson in a very special way; Pat and Cris hopped aboard their 1914 and 1915 Harley twins and rode from the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum and Hall of Fame in South Dakota to the Harley Davidson Museum in Wisconsin. Their trip went off without a hitch, and was a great way for the couple to spend time together.

Nice Guys Finish Last: Ep 1. Introduction

    in Motivation

I'm a nice guy and DAMN proud of it. I've been through it all, being played, taking adavantaged of, and hell I even saw that my relationship ended on FaceBook. It made stronger. My stories are ways where I can help my fellow gender to find that happiness. It's like what Will Smith told us in "Hitch", "No matter what, no matter who, no matter when, any man has a chance to sweep any woman off her feet. He just needs the right broom." I want to help the two gender to call and vent about their personal relationship struggle and find a way to help them get motivated for a better life. Always remember "Life is not the amounts of breath we take, its the moments that take our breath away".
