    DON'T MISS THE WHOLE POINT!

    in Christianity

Spirit Can Only Be Known By Spirit

They shouted, “Hosanna! Hosanna!”  But, sadly, they did not understand what they were yelling about. Itching ears, versus honest preaching. Today, they still don’t know Him, just as it was when Jesus made His triumphant entry into Jerusalem a few days before He died. They did not comprehend what was really happening. Today, when the true anointing walks down the aisle of our hearts, we might be yelling so loud physically, that we miss the whole point, spiritually. The honest presence of God  might not impress the world, but for the faithful believers, he is the King of hearts and minds. "Life Without Him - When God Calls him home"

    in Romance

    "I miss my best friend!"

"This was not supposed to happen!"

"But I prayed for his healing!"

    "I can't do this alone!"

Daily, I force myself out of bed to just be reminded that I'm only making coffee for one.  I never saw this coming."

"I feel like I'm walking in the shadow of what used to be, and I'm torn because I know I need to accept the life God has for me now...but I can't!"

These are just a few thoughts pulled from several blog written by Christian widows who are fighting daily to fully accept the fact that their lifetime partner is no longer with them. "Till Death do we part" is easy for one to say until they are faced with that grim reality.  Join me on "Reflections With Lynne" Tuesday February 24, as my guest former First Lady Mrs. Deborah Spencer, and I have a heart to heart on this sensitive topic of life as a widow.  "Life Without Him - When God Calls Him Home".   Psalms 30:5 tells us "Weeping may endure for the night, but joy comes in the morning".  First Lady Spencer is trusting God that healing will come when the sun rises in her morning.

THE BATTLE IS THE LORD'S, GIVE IT TO HIM!

    in Spirituality

What battle or battles are you facing, going through? I've come today to encourage you that help is not just on the way, but help is here. I want to remind you of the story of  2 Kings 6:8-23.

Ancient Aram (now Syria) was at war with Israel, and the king of Aram was disturbed by the fact that the prophet Elisha was able to predict where Aram’s army was planning to go, and passed that information along to Israel’s king in warnings so the king could plan the Israeli army’s strategy.

Aram’s king decided to send a large group of soldiers to the city of Dothan to capture Elisha so he wouldn’t be able to help Israel win the war against his nation. WHERE IS THE HELP, WHERE ARE THE PRAYER WARRIOR, GOD TOLD JEREMIAH TO CALL FOR THE MOURNING WOMEN AND LET THEM TAKE UP A WAILING FOR THE SOUL  OF THE PEOPLE.

They went by night and surrounded the city. When the servant of the man of God got up and went out early the next morning, an army with horses and chariots had surrounded the city. 'Oh no, my lord! What shall we do?' the servant asked.

Being surrounded by a large army with no way to escape terrified the servant, who at this point in the story could only see the earthly army that was there to capture Elisha.    "'Don’t be afraid,' the prophet answered. 'Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.' And Elisha prayed, 'Open his eyes, LORD, so that he may see.' Then the LORD opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.
