SORT BY Relevancy
There are no Republicans running Paterson nor managing the Paterson school District. Now a days when you talk about the Feds you are referring to an administration un der the Barack Obama flag of the Democrats. So the failing schools can be squarely put upon the sholders of the Democrats. Yet even after the horrific conditions of failing schools such as Paterson High School parents will elect the same party pimps and wonder why the condition of depleted schools never changes.

Hales Franciscan High school, a private Catholic institution known for its long standing tradition of high academic achievement, was in danger of closing due to decreased enrollment, creating a financial crisis that school alumni have come together to resolve. During their recent awards banquet, school officials announced a plan to seek out 25 top scholars to enroll in the school to continue its legacy. Formerly an all boys school and now a co-ed facility, Hales Franciscan has maintained a 100% success rate in graduating its students and preparing them for acceptance into college. Attorney, educator and talk show host Jerome P. Barney explains what has helped Hales create successful student graduates and why radio station WVON has come aboard to launch a drive to increase its enrollment.
A play on Philip K. Dick book, "Do Androids Dream Electric Sheep", on which the Ridley Scott directed movie 'Blade Runner' was based on, a majority of today’s high school students seem to embrace failure as an option because they either 1) feel that they will be bailed out by a teacher because of pressure to give the students a passing grade, or 2) they will always be served by a society that has conditioned them to think that society will wait on them hand and feet thereby the student doesn't have to do anything. Kinda like a diner in a restaurant waiting to be served by the waiter/waitress. I have seen the future of this country in classrooms, and it’s frightening. Yet, are too many of todays students doing what the school system has conditioned them to do? Lets talk about it.
