We're back and winning-er than ever! It's episode 80 of the Holtecast and we're riding the high that can only come from beating a team by multiple goals. I'm sorry you had to be the punching bags, Norwich City, but I'm actually not sorry.
So yeah, Jack and Robert spend a bit of time on that this week. Talking about winning is fun, it turns out. We've also got the news of the day. News like Rémi Garde's commitment to the club so long as the club shows a commitment to (spending) money. And news like... uh... it's a quiet week.
We've also got a very special game to celebrate Jack's 24th birthday!
Deeply reported, beautifully written, and powerfully moving, Soldier Girls is “a breakthrough work...What Thorpe accomplishes in Soldier Girls is something far greater than describing the experience of women in the military. The book is a solid chunk of American history...Thorpe triumphs” (The New York Times Book Review).

Talann’s future was far from assured. Although the son of two dragon lords, none of the old ones sang a welcome at his birth. And now years later there was still no sign of the awakening of a twinned dragon soul. From his birth, it was expected he would marry the only other child born to the dragon shifters, the Lady Lexii Beylnea. However, fate had other intentions. Talann and Lexii could not stand to be together.
Haldric hated all shifters but one—Lady Lexii, whom he meant to possess at any cost. His one tool to achieve both his goals meant risking all. Although his uncle, known to his followers as the Parant, possessed the ability to turn men and women into his willing slaves, the older man was as apt to turn on friend as foe.
Pledged to protect Lexii until the dragon lord’s intended mate appears, Glyn must fight to keep hidden the secret no one could never learn.
Destinies collide as fate decrees secrets be revealed and plans of men and dragon lord alike twist in the web of time. The freedom of the skies comes with a price.

Natalie Servant lives in Ottawa, Canada, and says 'I'm an engineer by training and a software tester by day. I became a compulsive knitter in my 20s and that evolved to designing my own patterns in my 30s. Lace knitting was my first love, but I enjoy working in a variety of techniques. Lately many of my designs have been exploring my love of Art Deco architecture and design.'

This webcast of EMS Live in Wisconsin was recorded on Tuesday, February 9, 2016.
Our first guest at 5:00 minutes into the program was EMS Office Licensing Coordinator Helen Pullen with the State of Wisconsin. We discussed what is required to renew your EMT, paramedic, or emergency medicala responder liccense as all state licenses expire as of June 30, 2016. The license renewal website is https://www.dhs.wisconsin.gov/ems/licensing/renewal.htm.
At 20 minutes into the program State of Wisconsin EMS and Trauma Medical Director Dr. Suzanne Martens joined us to explain House of Representatives bill 4365, Protecting Patient Access to Emergency Medication Act. It has been recognized that EMS technically operates outside of the current DEA rules for controlled substances for pain and seizures. The DEA has allowed this to continue, but has stated it cannot do so without a change in the actual regulations. A draft bill to change these regulations has been written and proposed. The House of Representatives is processing it, and will vote in the near future. Without this bill change, all administration of controlled substances will require radio/phone contact for an order with medical control; and the ordering and stocking of these medications will be complex and costly, with potentially every ambulance being considered an "office". Since the majority of requests for paramedic intercepts involves controlled substances, this impacts all levels of care. >> Click for HR4365 Toolkit and how to contact your local elected federal representative.
Co-hosts included Joe Covelli and Patrick Ryan, and the program lasted 30 minutes.
