This week on New Awakenings Shop Talk Radio Dave will discuss his new book "Self-Care for the Self-Aware"
"The needs of the self-aware are different. Many of us are overly empathic, and many are extra sensitive to foods, medicines, situations and people.
If you have physical or emotional ailments, are overweight, have allergies, or are inexplicably lethargic, unfocused, or feeling lost, there may another reason: Your energetic sensitivities may have caused you to take on the pain, unhappiness, and dis-ease of the people around you."
Dave Markowitz is a medical intuitive who has helped thousands on their journey toward wholeness. and is a master at identifying the underlying causes and working on that level, and has found that many of his clients’ pains and illnesses aren’t their own; that their empathic abilities make them an “energetic sponge.” His powerful five-step process helps highly sensitive people see their gifts as a blessing and not a curse, and also helps them “give back” what isn’t theirs.
When supported by strong practices and policies, positive school experiences can counteract the negative effects of abuse, neglect, separation, and lack of permanency experienced by the nearly 400,000 U.S. children and youth in foster care. Education not only supports economic success in adult life, it also provides opportunities for improved wellbeing in physical, intellectual, and social domains during critical developmental periods. A concerted effort by child welfare agencies, education agencies, and the courts could lead to significant progress in changing the consistent and disheartening picture the research portrays.
