    Midnight Meditation with CharLena

    in Spirituality

This morning on Small Business Saturday and 2 days after Thanksgiving Day it is our best time to explore meditation as an act of Self Care and Self Love. What are these?

Self-Care is the act of being good to and for yourself, whether healthily, emotionally or physically. It's as simple as brushing your teeth or taking a daf off to regroup or even just saying no to something or someone when you are tired.

Self-Love is getting in touch with your true and allowing your feelings to explore everything about you and your life, so you can truly enjoy the world around you.

This week we start Self-Care/Self Love with a Gratitude Meditation, based on the Daily Word.

Join me and explore a more fulfilling life through Self-Care and Self-Love.

Get an A+ in Country, a better President with Write-In Ballots: Curtis Clinton

    in Elections

ou know what got me started. you know how i came by this idea of becoming President – too many of our soldiers were being killed in IRAQ. Why even 1 killed by & with careless, faulty un-smart missions not worth a damm – not by my standards. i care and I don’t put people in danger or our military in danger. That is why i am a better Commander-In-Chief. And the same character credentials extend into the WHITE HOUSE and the PRESIDENCY. i wish every one a good Thanksgiving wknd. i know that not everyone is having one – and that has to change in favor of more. our President was right in calling out the Chicago shooting and 16 useless bullets. But then he compliments Chicago officials with keeping the city peaceful. No, Chicago officials should be called upon to do more and our President should not make even statements to pacify all parties. Chicago Police is wrong for having a killer in their midst. The putrid gall of the officer saying he was in fear if his life. He had others officers around him. He could have retreated. Any court that allows a defense of that should be impeached. we have let our courts bankrupt with such cowardly, lying pleas of defense. How is a prone man on the ground a threat to you, already with 2 bullets in him. Crap. we have a crappy officer and he and his fellow officers should be charged with a host of crimes  - IF I were President.   bwell   c2it     i saw Ice Sculpturing Christmas – very moving & inspirational and true to life for some of us.  .    i learned something, always learning – like a sponge that picks up and releases – doing good things. c2

Gospel of Matthew 5: 1 Now when Jesus saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to him, 2 and he began to teach them.3  “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.4 Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.5 Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.7 Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.8 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.10 Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.11 “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

When The Selfish Side of Us Takes Over. Daily Gogetemism #422

    in Lifestyle

Being selfish doesn't always mean that you are keeping things to yourself and only thinking of yourself in a negative way. Sometimes we keep people alive and well because we selfishly need them around.

The Interpersonal Connection ~ Oh Give Thanks ~

    in Spirituality

Encouraging and Inspirational Words of Wisdom, Spirit and Life To Everyone. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. 1 Thessalonians 5:18  Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations. Psalm 100:4-5 Thank You Lord for my wonderful family; for true friends, who stand with me in good times and bad. For my Christian brothers and sisters, who pray with me and for me. Lord, as I stop today to count my many blessings, I do have so much to be thankful for! I wish everyone a Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving 2015. Also be careful with the day after sales, you know there will be thieves on every corner. GOBBLE, GOBBLE, GOBBLE….May God Bless You and Those Whom You Love and Care About!

Too many of us are not living our dreams because we are living our fears. Accept responsibility for your life. Know that it is you who will get you where you want to go, no one else. All of us need to grow continuously in our lives. Goals help you channel your energy into action. You take on the responsibility for making your dream a reality. Help others achieve their dreams and you will achieve yours. Les Brown

    Live With The Rayfords--Thanksgiving

    in Lifestyle

On this day--Thanksgiving Day--we have lived to see so many changes in the world-changes we would not have thought about ten years ago, but here we are.

God has blessed us to see our children grown and our grandchildren growing.

He has blessed us to have had jobs and careers that made it possible for us to enjoy life and can now enjoy retirement.

He has blessed with good health and sound minds and desire to continue serving Him.

We have been blessed to enjoy living our retirement years in a quiet neighborhood and with good neighbors.

We have been blessed to be a blessing to many and we are yet waiting to see how He will continue to use us for His glory.

We have a roof over our heads, beds to sleep in and food to eat. We have family who love us and friends who care about us.

We are truly grateful because it is only because of The Lord--He has made the difference in our lives and had it not been for Him, we don't know where we would be.

So, we give Him thanks--for all He has done, is doing, and will do in our lives. We give Him praise because He did not give us what we deserved, but loved us enough to shower us with mercy and grace--in spite of us.

What God wants more from us than external trappings of worship and praise is for us to have a heart of gratitude for all we have. When we learn to be thankful for what we have, He'll give us more, but until we show Him we are grateful, we'll have to be content with such as we have--and for many of us--that's enough.

If yo're in the mood for a good books while waiting for that wonderful meal to digest, look no further http://: viewAuthor.at/maryglobal

Join us again, next week at the same time for another episode of Live With The Rayfords and stay Blessed!

  • Crappy Days! Also known as Bad Hair Days!

    in Lifestyle

Do you have days that feel like you shouldn't get out of bed?  Does your hair look bad all day because you don't really care to look good for someone else.  How often do we get caught in the illusion of pleasing others above our selves.
Is it selfish to want to have something that makes your life better?  Is it selfish to take time away from others to learn something new that will improve your life and another's life?  Then, call me selfish!!!!

I don't like crappy days of following work responsibilities and being bored and not caring about what my hair looks like!
Yes, give me happiness, that comes from creating values rather than just producing a value that already exists, so I can share it with another as love and get the feeling of pride!  You deserve this too!

    Yep, call me selfish!!!
